We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this urgent plea for your daughter and her marriage. Father God, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church—a bond of love, respect, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33). Yet we also recognize the enemy seeks to distort and destroy what You have ordained, bringing manipulation, control, and brokenness where there should be unity and peace.
Lord, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ and rebuke every generational curse of manipulation and control that may be at work in this family. The Bible declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We break every chain in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that Your Holy Spirit would expose any ungodly patterns, whether in her life or her husband’s, and that both would turn to You in repentance and humility.
Father, we ask that You would set your daughter free from any bondage—spiritual, emotional, or relational—that is not of You. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear, we ask that You uproot it and replace it with Your love and truth. If there is deception, we pray that Your light would shine brightly, revealing the path of righteousness (Psalm 119:105). We plead the precious blood of Jesus over her, covering her mind, body, and spirit, and we declare that she is washed clean by the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 1:5).
We also pray for her husband, Lord. Soften his heart if it has grown hard, and draw him to You if he has strayed from Your ways. If there is pride, anger, or a desire to dominate, we ask that You convict him and lead him to repentance. Marriage is meant to be a partnership of equals, where both spouses honor and cherish one another (1 Peter 3:7). We ask that You restore what the enemy has stolen—joy, trust, intimacy, and peace—so that their marriage may be a testimony to Your grace.
Lord, we know that restoration is possible because You are a God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when the path is difficult. Strengthen your daughter with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and give her the courage to walk in obedience to Your will, whatever that may be. If separation or divorce is not Your plan for them, we pray for reconciliation and healing. If it is, we ask that You guide her steps and protect her heart.
Finally, Father, we declare that no generational curse has power over those who are in Christ Jesus. For if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; the old has passed away, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust in Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
