God draws near to the brokenhearted, hearing their cries and turning their sorrow into lasting repentance.
A Queen in Disguise
True greatness often hides in plain sight and calls us to see beyond appearances to the worth within.
Cloaks for Sin
Sin hides behind many disguises but God sees through them all and calls us to seek His true righteousness.
We join you in bringing the deepest desire of your heart before the throne of grace and we thank you for acknowledging the Lord Jesus Christ and for seeking His will and perfect timing above all else. That posture of surrender is what God honors.

We are encouraged by your trust in Him, for scripture reminds us to delight ourselves also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. This promise is not that God grants every longing exactly as we imagine it, but that as we delight in Him, He shapes our desires to align with His good and perfect will. We also cling to the assurance that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14, and that we are to trust in Yahweh with all our heart, and not lean on our own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge him, and he will make our paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

Regarding the person you are longing and praying for, we lift this relationship before the Lord and pray that it would be centered on Christ and moving toward that which honors God most fully. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as outlined in the Bible, for a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24, and what therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. Because of this we pray not simply for a relationship or a partner to be granted, but for a godly marriage if it is His will, and for a godly spouse who will help you grow in faith. We encourage you to view this time as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, for we are taught not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. If this person you are praying for loves the Lord and seeks Him first, we pray God will make that clear and open the door in His timing. If not, we pray He will guard your heart and redirect your affections toward His best for you.

We also gently encourage you to pursue this desire in purity and holiness, honoring God with your body and your waiting. If you are walking toward marriage, we urge you to flee from fornication and to keep the marriage bed undefiled, trusting that obedience brings blessing and peace. Seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33, and we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, even to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we thank You for this dear heart who seeks You. You know the name and the face of the one they are longing for, You know every prayer whispered in secret, every hope and every tear. We ask that You would grant the deepest desire of their heart as it aligns with Your perfect will. If this person is the godly spouse You have prepared, we pray You would draw you both closer to Yourself first, deepen your faith, and in Your perfect timing bring clarity, unity, and a path toward a Christ centered marriage that glorifies You. If this is not Your will, we pray You would give peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7, heal any disappointment, and guide their steps to the spouse You have chosen. Help them to wait with patience, to guard purity, and to trust Your timing which is never early and never late. Let Your will be done in their life as it is in heaven, and let their delight be in You above all else. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, believing that You hear us and that You will answer according to Your love and wisdom. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers while you wait. Keep seeking Him daily, and trust that He who began a good work in you will perfect it.

We are grateful you shared this longing so honestly. Carrying one person in your heart and bringing that desire to the Lord day after day can feel both hopeful and heavy, especially in a season of waiting.

We love how you ended your request, asking for His will and perfect timing. That is not easy to pray when the desire is deep, and it shows real trust. We will join you in that prayer, that God would make His direction clear to you and give you steady peace while you wait.

It helps not to carry this alone. Keep bringing it honestly to the Lord, and stay connected with trusted Christian friends or a pastor who knows you and can encourage you personally. Continuing in your daily walk, serving and staying part of community, often brings perspective and strength during a season of longing.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You know the desire of their heart and the person they have been praying for. We ask for Your wisdom and clear leading, and for Your peace to guard their heart. Shape this story according to Your good will and timing, and draw them closer to You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard the burden of your heart and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace, asking not for our will but for His will to be done in His perfect timing.

There is wisdom in the words you have added, according to His will and perfect timing, for blessed are all they that wait for Him. God's waiting people wait only upon God. They do not trust to the arm of flesh nor look to the changeable creature, but they wait upon God expectantly and patiently. As one has said, He never is before His time, He never is too late, and though you grow weary with long waiting, when He comes to you He will make amends for it and your weary waiting shall be well repaid. Wait at the posts of His doors.

We pray that the Lord will search your heart and write His law upon it, for a heart with nothing holy written on it is empty indeed, and only He can give a new heart and conform our longings to His judgments. The most blessed longing is not first for any creature, but to find God Himself. Holy longings constitute a living experience, and a soul that breaks for longing after God's Word proves that God is at work within. Seek Him as silver and search for Him as hidden treasure, and you shall surely find Him. If you find Christ, you find all.

Therefore we do not ask God to bless every desire as we frame it, for we dare not ask Him to bless what is outside His holy design. We ask Him to make your desires holy as He is holy. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and marriage as He ordained it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to the union of love is to be kept within that covenant in purity. Whatever is according to His Word we may boldly ask for, and whatever is not according to it we must pray to be delivered from.

Our prayer for you is this, that the Lord Jesus Christ would draw you nearer to Himself, forgive your sins and cleanse you in His blood, keep you in His Word where true consolation is found, and make your heart content in Him. If this person for whom you pray is the one whom the Lord has appointed for you to walk with in that holy covenant, we pray He will make the way plain in holiness, in the counsel of godly witnesses, and in His own time. If not, we pray He will gently turn your heart to be satisfied in His will, which is always good, and keep you from stepping out of the light of His countenance.

May the Lord keep you waiting patiently, trusting His promise which may tarry but never fails, and may He build your happiness secure for eternity as you rest in Christ. We commend you to His mercy and grace, that He would do for you far better than you have asked, according to His abundant goodness in Christ Jesus. Amen.
