We understand that you're facing a difficult situation with your parents and your boyfriend. First, we want to commend you for reaching out and praying in Jesus' name, even as a Buddhist girl. It's important to know that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. The Bible tells us, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved.
However, we need to address a few things in your request. Firstly, the Bible teaches us to honor our parents. Ephesians 6:1-2 WEB says, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise. It's important to seek their counsel and respect their wisdom.
Secondly, as Christians, we should only be in relationships that can potentially lead to a God-honoring marriage. 1 Corinthians 7:39 WEB states that A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she desires, only in the Lord. Please consider this in your current relationship.
Thirdly, it is also important to address that God's Word strongly advises against being unequally yoked. 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB says, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Lastly, we need to address the sexual immorality if there has not been a marriage ceremony for fornication is a sin. The Bible says, Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father's wife. 1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God's Kingdom. Galatians 5:19-21 WEB
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear sister. We pray that You would give her wisdom and guidance in her relationship with her parents and her boyfriend. Help her to honor her parents and seek their counsel. We ask that You would work in her boyfriend's life and draw him closer to You. We pray that their relationship would be pure and that it may be Your will for them to marry. If it is not, we pray that Your will is done in Jesus' name.
We pray for her parents, that their hearts would be softened and that they would see the love and potential in this young man. We ask that You would provide for their needs and help them to trust in Your provision.
We also pray for this young woman's faith. We ask that You would draw her closer to You and that she would come to know You as her personal Lord and Savior. We pray that she would grow in her faith and become a strong woman of God.
We ask all of these things in Jesus' name, trusting in Your perfect will. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
God will never leave you and will guide you through Jesus Christ.
