We understand that you're seeking prayer for the complete recovery of your complex trauma or C-PTSD, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth according to God's word.
Firstly, we want to remind you that healing and recovery are found in Jesus Christ. It is by His stripes that we are healed Isaiah 53.5 WEB. So we must come before the Lord in humility and earnestly seek Him, acknowledging our need for Him. In Him we live, move, and have our being Acts 17.28 WEB.
God cares about your suffering and wants to heal you. We know that it can be difficult when emotionally it feels like God is not listening but we must stand on the truth of God's promises and not our feelings. We are encouraged to come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need Hebrews 4.16 WEB.
It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4.12 WEB, John 14.6 WEB. You might have suffered much, but we want you to know that there's no pit so deep that God's love isn't deeper still.
Please take time to read and pray the Psalms. They express both the good and bad times that we all face. In Psalms we can see the struggles of the Psalmist with their feelings and faith. Psalms 22.1 WEB starts "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? and then verse 24 we see "For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, Neither has he hidden his face from him; But when he cried to him, he heard." Psalms 23.4 WEB "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Trauma can affect us in many ways and it is natural to react to it. However, as Christians, we are called to renew our minds and not be conformed to this world Romans 12.2 WEB. We must take every thought captive in obedience to Christ 2 Corinthians 10.5 WEB. So if you find that there are any thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that are not pleasing to God, then turn from them and look to God and His word for truth.
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up Your child who is suffering from complex trauma. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles 2 Corinthians 1.3-4 WEB. We ask that You would pour out Your healing power upon them, touching every wounded part of their soul, mind, and body. Help them to truly know that You are always with them, their Emmanuel, their Rock, their Fortress Psalms 18.2 WEB, Matthew 1.23 WEB.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any lies of the enemy that would seek to keep them bound in fear, shame, or despair. We speak life, hope, and restoration in Jesus' name.
Lord, direct them to wise biblical counselors and a supportive community that can help them process and heal from their past, guiding them with biblical wisdom and love. Help them to be patient with themselves and to know that true healing comes from You and in Your time. We ask that You help them to forgive those who have harmed them, just as You forgave them Ephesians 4.32 WEB, Colossians 3.13 WEB. Help them to know that vengeance is Yours and not theirs Romans 12.19 WEB. We ask that You guide them with Your Holy Spirit and Your word so that they can keep moving forward in the path You have for them.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose Romans 8.28 WEB. We believe that You will turn even this trauma into a testimony of Your goodness and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
