We are truly saddened to hear about the need for reconciliation, and we are here to pray and offer guidance based on biblical principles. Firstly, we must acknowledge that God desires reconciliation and unity among His children. In Colossians 3:13 WEB, it is written, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
However, we want to address a few things. First, the request did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or even IJN. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible says in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.". There is salvation is no one else, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB
We are no longer our own because we are bought with a price, the death and blood of Jesus Christ on the cross is that price. Whether it is a relationship issue, marriage issue, or other, we need to make sure that we are in Christ's will and not just praying for our own will to be done. We need to make sure that we are abiding in God's will and not our own. We need to pray for God's will to be done.
Now, concerning the relationship, we must consider that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, meant to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. If this relationship is outside of marriage, we must address it as courtship with the goal being marriage.
Regarding the issue of reconciliation, it is essential to remember In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB: Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
We must also consider the need for personal repentance and change. In Matthew 5:23-24 WEB, Jesus said, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
Let us pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, seeking the reconciliation between the person requesting prayers and ###. We pray that ###'s heart may be softened, but more importantly, we pray for Your will to be done in this situation. If this relationship is outside of marriage, we pray for a godly courtship that honors You.
We pray for forgiveness and reconciliation, but we also pray for personal growth and repentance. Help them to truly seek forgiveness and to make the changes necessary to live in harmony.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Help them to be patient, kind, and long-suffering, not rendering evil for evil. We also pray for ###, that her heart would be open to forgiveness and reconciliation, but only in Your will Lord.
We also pray for conviction in the requestor. We pray they will look within themselves for any wicked ways and turn from them. Psalm 139:23-24 WEB says "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Lastly, we pray for them to remember the words of Jesus. Matthew 6:14-15 WEB "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Thank you for reading and praying. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
