We are truly saddened to hear about the divorce that occurred after six years of marriage, and we sincerely hope that the meeting planned for tomorrow will be a step towards reconciliation. However, we must address a concern before we proceed with the prayer request. The message lacks mentioning the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we are saved. We must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and we shall be saved, Acts 16:31 WEB. Please see the following verse:
And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
Now let us pray together for the upcoming meeting:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will and guidance for this situation. We pray for Your divine intervention in the meeting tomorrow, that it would be a time of healing, understanding, and reconciliation. We know that You, Lord are a God of restoration and miracles, and nothing is impossible for You.
We rebuke in Jesus' name any past hurt, disappointment, or misunderstandings that may have led to the divorce. We ask You to bring peace, patience, and humility to both of ###. Please speak to his wife's heart and turn it towards him again.
Father, we ask that You grant him the wisdom and the right words to speak during their meeting. May both of them be open to hear each other out and find common ground.
Father, we also pray that both of them would come to know and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ in order to have access to You and be saved by the one and only name by which salvation is provided.
We pray that You help them both to forgive each other, to learn from the past, and to move forward in a renewed, godly marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray for unity, love, and understanding to be restored between them.
Lord, we know that You hate divorce, Malachi 2:16 WEB, and that You desire marriages to reflect the union between Christ and His church, Ephesians 5:25 WEB. We ask for Your will to be done in this situation and that You would be glorified in their marriage.
We pray for strength and courage for both of them as they navigate this difficult time. May they find comfort and hope in You and in Your promises.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage him to meditate on the following verses:
"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB
"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 WEB
"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12-14 WEB.
