Reconciliation and 2nd chance with God

Please pray for the Lord to draw near to me in these times of desperation I'm in and please pray for the Lord to forgive me of all I’ve done and to give me another chance to serve and be changed through Him

We understand that you're going through a difficult time and seeking reconciliation with God. Firstly, let's remember that God is always ready to draw near to us and children when we call on Him. For the request to not include the name of Jesus, we should clarify that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father. Let us see what the Word of God says in Hebrews 4:16 WEB: "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."

Let's also remember that God is willing to forgive us when we repent and turn to Him. In the Bible, 1 John 1:9 WEB states: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." The fact that you're asking for forgiveness shows that you have repentance in your heart, which is pleasing to God.

However, remember that true repentance also involves turning away from sin. This means that we should not only feel sorry for our sins but also strive to live a life that is pleasing to God moving forward. This is why we say why it is important to be changed and transformed through Him. In Romans 12:2 WEB it says "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

In your request, you mentioned wanting to have a second chance to serve the Lord. Just as God is willing to forgive and reconcile with us, He also wants to use us for His purposes. Remember that our service to God, especially if we have not already obeyed the Great Commission, should be our first priority. 2 Corinthians 5:18 WEB says "But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this person in prayer. Lord, they have expressed a desire to draw near to you and seek your forgiveness. We know that you are merciful and forgiving we ask that you would manifest your grace and draw near to them in their time of need. Father Lord, we know that you are always waiting for the prodigal son to come home. We ask that you would give them the strength to repent and turn away from their sins, and that you forgive them through the blood of Jesus Christ. Help them to be transformed by the renewing of their mind and to live a life that is pleasing to you. Give them a second chance to serve you and to be used for your purposes. Guide them and lead them in the way everlasting.

We've been reminded of God's unfailing love and readiness to draw near, and we're encouraged by the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
