We join you in lifting up your job interview and the desire for this employment opportunity, for we know that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about the needs of His children. It is good to pray in faith, trusting that God will provide, but we must also remember to approach Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name by which we are saved or through which we can boldly come before the throne of grace (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, and we encourage you to always pray in His mighty name, giving Him the glory in all things.
We also remind you that while it is natural to feel nervous, we are called to cast our anxieties upon the Lord, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Whether this job is part of His plan for you or He has something even better in store, we pray that you will seek His will above all else, trusting that His timing and purposes are perfect.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your favor in this job opportunity. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the needs they have. We ask that You open the doors that no man can shut if this job aligns with Your will for their life (Revelation 3:8). Give them peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait for Your answer, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If this job is Your will, we pray that You would move in the heart of the interviewer, that she would see the skills, dedication, and integrity You have placed within them. Let favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12), and may they receive that phone call today as a testimony of Your goodness. But Father, if this is not the job You have for them, we ask that You close this door gently and open another one that leads to greater blessings and opportunities to glorify Your name.
We also pray that You would remind them daily to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things—including provision—will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in obedience, knowing that You are their Provider and their Shepherd who leads them beside still waters (Psalm 23:2).
May they give You all the praise, honor, and glory, no matter the outcome, for You are worthy. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, remembering that He is faithful to those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). If this job is His will, rejoice in His provision. If not, know that He has something even better prepared for you. Stay steadfast in prayer, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk in faith.
