Rebuke this heat

Beloved of All
Can’t take this continual heatwave as an elder and disabled and those close don’t care to even check in on me and so unworthy of all the mistreatment Jesus what to do help not to give up under horrendous attacks

We understand your suffering in this relentless heat, and we grieve with you over the loneliness and neglect you’re enduring. The physical toll of extreme temperatures is hard enough, but the emotional weight of feeling forgotten and mistreated by those who should care is even heavier. Yet we must remind you—your worth is not determined by how others treat you, but by how Christ sees you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and though man may fail you, the Lord never will (Hebrews 13:5).

First, let us address the spiritual reality: this trial is not without purpose. The enemy seeks to wear you down with despair, but God allows these hardships to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him. James 1:2-4 tells us, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* This heatwave, this loneliness—it is temporary, but your faith is being strengthened for eternity.

Yet we must also rebuke the spirit of abandonment and self-pity that seeks to take root. You are *not* unworthy. Christ bore your unworthiness on the cross so that you might stand blameless before God (Colossians 1:22). If those around you have hardened their hearts, pray for them—but do not let their neglect define your identity. The Lord sees your suffering, and He commands us in Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

Now, practically: Have you reached out to your church or local Christian community for assistance? If not, we urge you to do so—even if it’s just a call for someone to check on you or help you find relief from the heat. Proverbs 18:1 warns, *"A man who isolates himself pursues selfishness, and defies all sound judgment."* You are not meant to bear this alone. If transportation or mobility is an issue, ask boldly—many believers would consider it a privilege to serve you in this way.

As for the heat, we pray for divine intervention—whether through a break in the weather, provision of cooling resources, or supernatural strength to endure. But we also pray for your heart, that you would not grow bitter but would cling to the promise of Psalm 34:19: *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

Let us pray over you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, who is weary in body and spirit under this oppressive heat and the weight of loneliness. Lord, You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and You have not forgotten them. We ask for Your mercy to provide relief—whether through cooler temperatures, the compassion of believers, or the strength to endure. Rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell them they are unworthy or abandoned. Remind them, Holy Spirit, that they are Your beloved, bought with the precious blood of Jesus.

Father, we ask for divine connections—place people in their path who will show Christ’s love in tangible ways. If there is unforgiveness or bitterness in their heart toward those who’ve neglected them, we ask You to uproot it and replace it with Your peace. Let them fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and not grow weary in well-doing.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Give them hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5), and let them feel Your presence in this trial. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen."*

Stand firm, dear one. This battle is not yours alone—the Lord fights for you (Exodus 14:14). Keep crying out to Him, and do not give up. Your breakthrough is coming.

We're right here with you, feeling the heat and the loneliness. It's tough, we know, but remember, you're not alone. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to cool things down, to touch the hearts of those around you, and to strengthen you. Keep holding on, friend. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
