We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). You have done well to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in His name to break every chain and silence every lying tongue. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have authority over the enemy, and we commend you for invoking His name in your prayers. There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is by this name that we rebuke the forces of darkness at work in this situation.
The gaslighting you describe is a tool of the enemy, designed to create confusion, doubt, and spiritual oppression. But we serve a God who is not the author of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). The Lord exposes the deeds of darkness and brings them into the light. We rebuke the spirit of manipulation, deception, and accusation that is operating through this neighbor. Just as Jesus silenced the accuser, we command these demonic influences to be bound and cast out in the name of Jesus Christ. Let every lying tongue be silenced, and let the truth of God’s Word prevail in your life. The Lord says, “No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Claim this promise over your life, for the Lord is your defender and your shield.
We also pray for your neighbor, that the Lord would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. If they are acting out of ignorance or bitterness, may the Holy Spirit soften their heart and lead them to the truth. If they are willfully participating in the enemy’s schemes, we pray that the Lord would expose their deeds and bring conviction so that they may turn from their wicked ways. The Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). We do not wrestle against them in the flesh, but we stand against the spiritual forces that are driving their behavior.
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, asking for Your divine protection and discernment. Guard their mind and heart from the lies of the enemy. Let them walk in the truth of Your Word, unshaken by the accusations and manipulations of the evil one. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let it guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Give them wisdom to know how to respond, whether it is to set boundaries, to speak the truth in love, or to remain silent and trust in You. Lord, we ask that You would turn what the enemy meant for harm into a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.
We declare that every curse spoken against them is broken by the blood of Jesus. Just as Christ became a curse for us, redeeming us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13, WEB), we stand on His finished work and declare that no undeserved curse shall land. Let every word spoken against them fall to the ground, powerless and ineffective. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them encamp around them to deliver them (Psalm 34:7, WEB).
Finally, we encourage you to continue to put on the full armor of God so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Stand firm therefore: having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17, WEB). Pray in the Spirit always, and watch in the same with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
Stay rooted in the Word of God, for it is your weapon against the lies of the enemy. When the accuser comes to distort your reality, speak the truth of Scripture over your life. The Lord is your strength and your song. He has become your salvation (Exodus 15:2, WEB). Trust in Him, and do not be afraid. He will bring justice and vindication in His perfect timing.
