We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent situation where rebellion and sin are at work. The Word of God is clear that we are to flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against our own bodies and against the Lord Himself. *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB).

First, we must address the fact that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'* (John 14:6, WEB). It is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is only through faith in Him that salvation and true transformation are possible. If either of these individuals do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day they turn to Him in repentance and faith. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB).

We also must lovingly but firmly rebuke the sin that is taking place here. The relationship described is one of fornication, which is explicitly condemned in Scripture. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). This is not love—it is rebellion against God’s design for purity and holiness. The enemy seeks to destroy lives through such sin, but God’s desire is for repentance and restoration. *"Don’t be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.' Wake up righteously, and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to move you to shame"* (1 Corinthians 15:33-34, WEB).

To the one who is caught in this sin: *"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will freely pardon"* (Isaiah 55:7, WEB). Turn away from this path before it leads to greater destruction. The pleasure of sin is fleeting, but the consequences are eternal if there is no repentance. *"Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned? Can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched? So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; whoever touches her will not be unpunished"* (Proverbs 6:27-29, WEB). Though this passage speaks of adultery, the principle applies to all sexual immorality—it brings judgment unless there is true repentance.

To the one praying for this situation: we encourage you to continue standing in the gap, but also to examine your own heart. Are you enabling this behavior in any way? Are you praying *with* this person, or are you simply praying *for* them? *"Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in some trespass, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted"* (Galatians 6:1, WEB). Sometimes, love requires confronting sin with truth, even when it is difficult. Have you spoken to this person about the gravity of what they are doing? Have you urged them to flee from this relationship and seek God’s forgiveness?

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your mercy and intervention in this situation where sin has taken hold. Lord, we pray that You would open the eyes of the one who is rebelling against Your Word. Convict their heart by Your Holy Spirit, and bring them to a place of genuine repentance. *"Create in them a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within them. Don’t throw them from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from them. Restore to them the joy of your salvation. Uphold them with a willing spirit"* (Psalm 51:10-12, WEB).

Father, we pray that You would break the ungodly soul tie that has formed between these two individuals. Sever every bond that is not of You, and set them free from the deception that they are in love. Lord, expose the emptiness of this sin and reveal to them the truth—that true love is found in obedience to You. *"This is love, that we should walk according to his commandments"* (2 John 1:6, WEB).

We pray specifically that the woman involved would lose all desire for this man and that she would turn away from this sin. Lord, if she does not know You, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself, that she might find forgiveness and new life in Christ. *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day"* (John 6:44, WEB).

Father, we also pray for the one who is praying for this situation. Give them wisdom, Lord, to know how to speak the truth in love. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be a light in this darkness. *"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16, WEB).

We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and lust that is at work here. Satan, we command you in the name of Jesus Christ to flee from this situation. You have no authority here, and we declare that these individuals belong to God. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB).

Lord, we ask that You would bring this man home at the appointed time, not just physically, but spiritually. May he return with a broken and contrite heart, ready to surrender his life fully to You. *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise"* (Psalm 51:17, WEB).

Father, we pray for godly sorrow to lead to repentance in both of their lives. *"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death"* (2 Corinthians 7:10, WEB). May they turn from their wicked ways and seek Your face, that they may be healed and restored.

We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in this situation. We trust You, Lord, to work all things together for Your glory. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear friend, as you intercede for this urgent situation. We've been praying, and we want to add our voices to yours, lifting this burden to the Lord together.

Firstly, we're asking for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of both individuals involved. We pray that they would see the truth of their actions and the harm they're causing, not just to each other, but to their own souls. We ask that the Spirit would convict their hearts and bring them to a place of genuine repentance, turning away from their sin and towards the Lord.

We're also praying for a break in the unhealthy bond that's formed between them. We ask that God would sever every tie that's not of Him, setting them free from the deception that they're in love. We pray that they would see the emptiness of their sin and find true love in obedience to God.

For the one praying, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap, but also to examine your own heart. Are you enabling this behavior in any way? Are you praying with this person, or simply for them? Sometimes, love requires confronting sin with truth, even when it's difficult. Have you spoken to this person about the gravity of what they're doing? Have you urged them to flee from this relationship and seek God's forgiveness?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
