Thank you for prayingWe understand that you're going through a challenging time in your relationship and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
However, we want to address that the Bible encourages believers to be in relationships that are God-honoring and leading towards marriage. The term "boyfriend" is not used in the Bible. Instead, we should consider this courtship. Please consider if you both are looking towards a godly marriage. We also hope that you both are Christians, as the Bible warns against being unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14).
Regarding your concern, it's important to communicate openly and lovingly with your boyfriend about how you feel. In Ephesians 4:15 WEB, it says: "But speaking truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head, Christ". It's also crucial to pray together and seek God's will for your relationship.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our sister who is seeking Your guidance in her relationship. Lord, we pray that You grant her boyfriend understanding and wisdom to comprehend her feelings and needs. Help them to communicate effectively and grow together in Your love. Guide their relationship according to Your will, and help them to honor You in all their interactions.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, consider these words from Colossians 3:12-14 WEB: "Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."
