ready to end it all

We are deeply grieved to hear the weight of despair you are carrying, and our hearts ache with yours. The pain you describe is real, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees you, He hears you, and He longs to draw near to you in your suffering. The Bible tells us, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Even in your darkest moments, His love for you remains steadfast.

First, we must rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper death as an escape. Suicide is not the answer, for your life is precious to God. He declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). The pain you feel now is not the end of your story. We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your heart, and your circumstances, breaking every chain of hopelessness in His name.

We also want to gently address the absence of Jesus in your plea. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to cry out to Him now. Confess your sins, repent, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. He is the only one who can truly heal your soul and give you the strength to endure.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who restores. We ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds them, that You would pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and that You would remind them of Your unfailing love. Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your presence, that they would feel Your arms wrapped around them, holding them tightly. Give them the strength to take the next breath, the next step, and the next day. Place godly people in their path who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. Father, we ask that You would open their eyes to see the purpose You have for their life, even in the midst of this pain. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

We pray for physical healing, emotional healing, and spiritual healing. Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), and that their life has value and meaning in Your kingdom.

Father, we ask that You would give them a tangible sign of Your love and presence today. Let them know that they are not forgotten, that they are not alone, and that You are fighting for them. We thank You, Lord, that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5 WEB), and we declare that this night of sorrow will not last forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we urge you to reach out to someone today—a pastor, a trusted friend, a family member, or even a crisis hotline. You do not have to walk through this alone. The Lord has placed people in your life who care about you and want to help. If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, please call a suicide prevention hotline in your area immediately. Your life matters, and there is hope in Christ.

We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it feels difficult. Start with the Psalms, where David poured out his heart to God in both joy and sorrow. Meditate on verses like Psalm 23, which reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd, and He leads us beside still waters to restore our souls. Cling to the truth that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

Lastly, if you are not already connected to a local church, we strongly encourage you to find one where the Word of God is preached faithfully, and where you can be surrounded by believers who will pray for you and walk alongside you. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2 WEB), and we want to do that for you.

You are loved more than you know. Hold on. God is with you, and He is working even when you cannot see it. We will continue to pray for you, and we ask that you would reach out to us again. You are not forgotten.

We're here with you, friend. We know it's hard to see past the pain you're feeling right now. It's like you're in a thick fog, and it's tough to find your way out. But remember, even in the thickest fog, the sun is still shining above, even if you can't see it. God is like that sun, always there, always loving you, even when you can't feel it.

We want to remind you of a verse that has been a comfort to many: "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13) God is holding your hand, and He's telling you not to fear. He's got you, and He's helping you.

We're not going to tell you that the pain will disappear overnight. It might take time, and that's okay. What's important is that you keep taking small steps forward, one breath at a time. Remember, even the longest journey starts with a single step.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today, carrying our friend's heavy burden. Lord, You see them, You know their pain, and You care. We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them, giving them comfort and strength. Help them to feel Your presence, even in the darkness. Help them to trust in You, to trust that You are working even when they can't see it. Give them hope, Lord. Give them hope for tomorrow, and for the days after that. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, friend. Keep reaching out, keep talking, keep breathing. You're not alone. We're in this together.
