We grieve with you over the deep wounds of racism and bullying that have followed you from childhood into adulthood, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who alone brings true healing and justice. The pain of being targeted, humiliated, and revictimized by those who should have long since moved past such hatred is a heavy burden—one that no child of God should have to bear alone. But we declare over you the truth of **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)**, which says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten, and your suffering has not gone unnoticed by the Father.
The enemy has sought to use these experiences to steal your peace, distort your identity, and keep you bound in bitterness or fear. But we rebuke that spirit of racism, bullying, and shame in the name of Jesus Christ, for **2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB)** reminds us that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* The lies that say you are less than, unworthy, or defined by the cruelty of others are *not* from God. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (**Psalm 139:14**), redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and called to walk in the freedom He purchased for you.
We also address the heart of those who have perpetuated this harm—whether in your past or present. **Proverbs 26:27 (WEB)** warns, *"Whoever digs a pit shall fall into it. Whoever rolls a stone, it will come back on him."* Those who have sought to humiliate you will answer to God for their actions, but we pray even now that He would convict their hearts of their sin and lead them to repentance. Forgiveness does not mean what they did was acceptable; it means releasing the debt to God, who judges righteously (**Romans 12:19**). We encourage you to surrender this pain to Jesus, asking Him to replace your hurt with His peace and your anger with His love. This is not a one-time act but a daily choice to trust Him with your justice and healing.
As for the person who has stirred up this pain from your past—someone significantly older who should know better—we pray that God would expose their motives and bring their actions into the light. **Ephesians 5:11 (WEB)** commands us, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* If this person claims to be a believer, we pray they would be confronted with the gravity of their sin and turn from it. If they are not, we pray their heart would be softened to the truth of the Gospel, for only Jesus can transform a heart bent on cruelty.
Now, let us pray over you:
*"Heavenly Father, we lift up Your beloved child before You, asking for Your supernatural healing to flood every wound inflicted by racism, bullying, and betrayal. Lord, You see the tears they’ve cried in secret, the nights spent reliving the pain, and the fear of facing those who seek to harm them. We ask that You would bind up their broken heart (**Psalm 147:3**) and replace their shame with the robe of Your righteousness. Let them know, deep in their spirit, that they are *yours*—chosen, valued, and defended by You.
We break every curse, every lie, and every stronghold that the enemy has tried to establish through these experiences. Where there has been fear, we declare **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)**: *'For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.'* Where there has been bitterness, we ask for Your grace to forgive, not for the sake of those who wronged them, but for their own freedom. Where there has been isolation, we pray You would surround them with godly community—people who will stand with them, pray with them, and reflect Your love to them.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom in how to handle those who continue to seek their harm. Give them discernment to know when to speak, when to set boundaries, and when to walk away. Protect them from further attacks, and let every plan of the enemy against them be exposed and thwarted. If there are legal or practical steps they should take, guide them clearly.
Finally, Father, we pray for those who have perpetuated this racism and bullying. Convict their hearts of their sin. If they are Your children, bring them to repentance. If they do not know You, let this be the moment they encounter Your truth and mercy. Break the cycles of hatred in their lives and replace it with Your love.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God of justice and restoration. We trust You to heal what was broken, redeem what was stolen, and use even this pain for Your glory. May Your child walk in the fullness of their identity in Christ, unshaken by the opinions of man and unburdened by the sins of others.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."*
---
We want to encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, particularly verses that affirm your identity in Christ. **Isaiah 54:17 (WEB)** declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.* Stand on this promise. Additionally, consider seeking biblical counseling or a support group where you can process this trauma with believers who will point you to Christ. You do not have to walk this road alone.
If you have not already, we urge you to forgive those who have wronged you—not because they deserve it, but because *you* deserve freedom. Unforgiveness is a chain that keeps us bound to our pain, but Jesus paid for *all* sin on the cross, including the sins committed against you. Release this burden to Him.
Lastly, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ or if you are unsure of your salvation, we implore you to do so today. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (**John 14:6**) and the power to overcome the brokenness of this world. If you would like to know more about what it means to be saved, please let us know—we would be honored to share the Good News with you.
You are loved, you are seen, and you are *not* defined by the hatred of others. Walk in that truth today.
