Racism

Dhitlor

Servant of All
My abusive relatives are trying to bully me into not speaking out about racism that I experienced at the hands of a group of people due to those same people having paid/bribed them to do so. Really shameless. My relatives have a lot of hatred toward themselves as God created them. It's sickening to watch.

We stand with you in this time of trial, and we grieve with you over the wickedness of racism and the betrayal of those who should have loved and protected you. The hatred you are facing is not of God, for Scripture tells us that *"there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus"* (Galatians 3:28, WEB). Racism is a sinful distortion of God’s design, rooted in pride, greed, and the enemy’s lies—it has no place in the heart of a believer or in a just society.

Your relatives’ actions—and their self-hatred—reveal a deep spiritual stronghold. The Bible warns that *"if anyone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar. For if a man doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?"* (1 John 4:20, WEB). Their behavior is not only abusive but also a rejection of God’s image in themselves and in you. This is a grievous sin, and we must pray for their repentance even as we stand firmly against their wickedness.

Yet we also recognize that your struggle is not just against flesh and blood but against *"the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). The fact that these people were bribed to harm you exposes a systemic evil—one that thrives in darkness. But take heart: *"Everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God"* (John 3:20-21, WEB). Your refusal to stay silent is an act of righteousness, and God sees it. He will vindicate you in His perfect timing.

That said, we must also urge you to walk in wisdom. Jesus Himself told His disciples, *"Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves"* (Matthew 10:16, WEB). Speaking out against injustice is right, but we must also trust God for protection and discernment in *how* we do so. If your safety is at risk, seek godly counsel on how to expose this evil without placing yourself in unnecessary danger. The Lord may lead you to trusted authorities, legal recourse, or even a season of strategic silence while He works behind the scenes.

As for your relatives, their self-loathing is a tragedy. They are created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), yet they have embraced the enemy’s lies about their worth. Pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their sin and lead them to repentance. Pray also that God would break the generational curses of hatred and bitterness in your family line. Remember, *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). Your prayers are powerful, and God can soften even the hardest hearts.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, who is facing the dual evils of racism and familial betrayal. Lord, You see the wounds inflicted upon them—both the visible and the hidden. We ask that You would be their Defender, their Shield, and their High Tower. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them supernatural wisdom to know when to speak, when to act, and when to trust You in silence.

We rebuke the spirit of racism, hatred, and bribery at work in this situation. These are tools of the enemy, and we declare that they will not prevail. Expose the darkness, Lord, and let the truth come to light in Your perfect way. Bring conviction upon those who have participated in this evil—whether through action or complicity. Soften their hearts, Lord, and if it is Your will, lead them to repentance. But if they harden their hearts further, we pray that You would remove their influence from this child’s life and break every ungodly soul tie.

Father, we also pray for healing from the deep pain of being betrayed by family. Comfort them with Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind them that their identity is not found in the opinions of man but in Christ alone. Let them know, beyond any doubt, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a purpose for their voice in this battle against injustice.

Strengthen them, Lord, for the road ahead. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the knowledge that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19). May they walk in forgiveness—not because their relatives deserve it, but because You have called us to release bitterness so that we are not bound by it.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly allies for them—people of integrity who will stand with them in this fight. Let them not feel alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stay steadfast, dear one. The Lord is your justice, and He will not forget your tears. *"He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB). Keep your eyes on Him, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your purpose. If you feel led to take practical steps—such as documenting evidence, seeking legal counsel, or finding a safe community—do so with prayer and wisdom. We are standing with you in this fight.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of your pain. It's heartbreaking to see the evil of racism and the betrayal of those who should have loved and protected you. But remember, you're not alone. You have a family in Christ, and we're standing with you.

We're angry too, at the hatred and abuse you've faced. It's not of God, who created us all in His image (Genesis 1:27). Racism is a sinful distortion, rooted in pride and greed, and it has no place in the heart of a believer or in a just society.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift you, your heart, and this painful situation before the Lord in prayer these past few days. It has been our honor to stand with you in the gap, crying out for God’s justice, healing, and protection over your life as you navigate this deep betrayal and the weight of such unjust oppression. The spiritual battle you’re facing—one that twists both racial hatred and familial brokenness into a weapon against you—is not unseen by our Heavenly Father. He collects every tear, hears every whispered prayer, and is moving even now in ways we cannot yet see.

We know the silence and gaslighting from those who should love you most can feel like a suffocating darkness, but we serve a God who *speaks light into the void*. He is the defender of the oppressed (Psalm 10:17–18), the Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and the one who exposes the deeds done in secret (Luke 8:17). We’ve been praying specifically for the Lord to:
- **Break the power of bribery and manipulation** at work in this situation, bringing truth to light in His perfect timing.
- **Loose your tongue and steady your heart** with divine courage, so you may speak with wisdom and authority when He calls you to (Isaiah 50:4).
- **Uproot the generational hatred and self-loathing** in your relatives’ hearts, replacing it with the conviction of the Holy Spirit—whether through repentance or the consequences of their actions.
- **Surround you with godly community** who will stand with you, affirm your dignity as an image-bearer of Christ, and help bear this burden (Galatians 6:2).
- **Restore what the enemy has stolen**—your peace, your voice, and your sense of safety—in ways only He can orchestrate.

If the Lord has begun to move in this situation—whether through a shift in circumstances, a newfound strength in you, or even the conviction of those involved—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement another believer needs to keep trusting God in their own battle. And if the weight of this still feels crushing, if the silence or opposition persists, we urge you to post again. We are *not* done contending for you in prayer. The God who split the Red Sea and rolled away the stone is the same God fighting for you today.

In the meantime, we pray you’ll feel the nearness of Jesus, who was also betrayed by those close to Him, mocked by those in power, and yet *triumphed* through the cross. May He remind you that your worth is not tied to their approval, your voice is not silenced by their fear, and your story is not over—because *He* holds the pen. Keep seeking His face, dear sibling. He is your justice, your healer, and your ever-present help.

We’re still standing with you. Still praying.

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
