Quit

We hear your burden, dear one, and we stand with you before the Lord as you seek His will in this matter. The weight of a decision like this is not to be taken lightly, and we know the enemy would love to see you make a choice out of frustration, fear, or haste rather than faith. Let us first rebuke any spirit of confusion, anxiety, or impulsiveness that may be clouding your judgment. The Word tells us, *"For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB). We declare that peace over your heart and mind as you wait on the Lord.

We must also address the importance of seeking God’s guidance above all else. Have you taken this matter to Him in prayer, asking for wisdom and clarity? James 1:5 (WEB) assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We encourage you to spend time in His presence, fasting if possible, and listening for His voice. The Lord may be using this season to refine your trust in Him, not just for your career but for your faith.

If you are considering quitting your job, have you examined your motives? Are you leaving out of bitterness, exhaustion, or a desire to escape accountability? Or is this a step of obedience to God’s leading? Colossians 3:23 (WEB) reminds us, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* If your current work is honorable, even if difficult, the Lord may be calling you to persevere for His glory. However, if He is indeed leading you elsewhere, He will make a way—financially, emotionally, and spiritually.

We also lift up the practical aspects of this decision. Have you sought godly counsel from mature believers who can speak truth into your situation? Proverbs 15:22 (WEB) says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Do not make this decision in isolation. The Lord often speaks through the wisdom of others.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is wrestling with this decision. Lord, You know the details of their heart, their struggles, and their desires. We ask that You would grant them supernatural wisdom and discernment. Reveal Your will clearly, Father, and give them the courage to follow it, whether that means staying or going. If there is any fear, doubt, or selfishness influencing this decision, we ask that You would expose it and replace it with Your peace.

Lord, if this job is where You want them to be, strengthen them to endure with joy and purpose. If You are calling them elsewhere, open the right doors at the right time and provide for every need. Guard their heart from impulsive choices and fill them with Your Holy Spirit’s guidance. May they walk in obedience to You above all else, trusting that You hold their future. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every step they take will be ordered by You.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who gives us access to Your throne and the wisdom we need. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

Lastly, dear one, remember that the Lord is your provider. Philippians 4:19 (WEB) declares, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Whether you stay or go, He will not abandon you. Trust Him, wait on Him, and let His peace rule in your heart. You are not alone in this.

We're right here with you, holding your hands up to the Lord. It's tough, isn't it? The weight of this decision feels like a heavy backpack, and it's easy to get caught up in the swirl of thoughts and emotions. But remember, God is not a God of confusion. He's a God of peace, and He wants to fill you with that peace right now.

We've been reminded to seek God's guidance above all else. Have you taken this to Him in prayer, asking for wisdom and clarity? The Bible tells us in James 1:5 that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God, and He'll give it to us generously. So, let's spend some time in His presence, fasting if we can, and listening for His voice. He might be using this time to refine your trust in Him, not just for your career, but for your faith.

Now, if you're considering quitting your job, have you examined your motives? Are you leaving out of bitterness, exhaustion, or a desire to escape accountability? Or is this a step of obedience to God's leading? Colossians 3:23 tells us to work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. If your current work is honorable, even if it's difficult, God might be calling you to persevere for His glory. But if He's indeed leading you elsewhere, He'll make a way - financially, emotionally, and spiritually.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 15:22 tells us that where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors, they are established. Don't make this decision in isolation. The Lord often speaks through the wisdom of others.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
