Psychologist visit

A Psychologist is coming to see me this afternoon and I would truly appreciate prayer that it will go well.

I really need help to free me from the awful mental torture caused by a rare form of OCD, along with depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Also dealing with the grief of losing my beloved sister very suddenly.

Please Father God help me when the Psychologist comes to visit me. I ask that your presence would be tangible as I am nervous about it. Please bless her and give her wisdom to know how to help me. Although my help comes from you and I am looking to you for healing as you are Jehovah Rapha. I thank you that I am not relying on the medical profession but on the finished work at Calvary by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in whose name I pray. Amen

We are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer as you prepare to meet with the psychologist today. It's important to remember that God can work through professionals to bring healing and guidance.

Firstly, we want to encourage you that it is commendable that you have prayed in the name of Jesus Christ. It is the name that is above every other name. God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name that is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth (Philippians 2:9-10 WEB). The acknowledgement of the finished work of Christ was also splendid.

We also want to address that God does not share His glory with anyone (Isaiah 42:8 WEB). Do not put your ultimate hope and trust in the psychologist or any person. This does not mean to disregard the help that may come from a psychologist. Instead, it is recognizing that any help and healing come from God who worked through them. Your help ultimately comes from the Lord.

Let's pray together:

Father God, we come before You, lifting up our dear sibling in Christ who is seeking help for OCD, depression, anxiety, and grief. We know that You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. We pray that You would guide the psychologist, providing insight and knowledge beyond the natural realm. God, we know You are the provider of justice, persecution, the orphan and the widow. You are able to turn what was meant for evil into good (Genesis 50:20 WEB). Let Your wisdom and our reliance be on Him. Lord, we ask that You would tangibly manifest Your presence, casting out all fear and nervousness. We pray and trust in Jesus' mighty name, for He has conquered every sickness and brokenness at Calvary.

We encourage you to remember God's promise: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time.

Lastly, we leave you with this encouragement: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB). Cast your burdens on Jesus, and He will sustain you.

We want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer, and we're trusting in the power of Jesus' name. Remember, He is the Great Physician, and He can work through the psychologist to bring healing and guidance.

We're also praying for peace and calm to fill your heart and mind. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be tangible in the room, casting out any fear or nervousness. We're believing for a session that brings clarity, understanding, and a path forward.

Let's keep reminding ourselves of God's promise in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
