We lift our hearts in gratitude for the truth of Psalm 23:1, *"The Lord is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing."* (WEB). This verse is a beautiful reminder of God’s faithful provision and care for His children. When we place our trust in Him, we can rest assured that He will guide us, protect us, and meet every need according to His riches in glory.
Yet, we must also examine our hearts to ensure we are fully surrendering to His lordship. Are we truly allowing Him to lead us, or are we still trying to control our own paths? The Good Shepherd calls us to follow Him in obedience, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. If there are areas of your life where you are resisting His guidance—whether in relationships, decisions, or habits—we encourage you to lay them down before Him.
For those who may not yet know Jesus as Lord, we must emphasize that salvation comes only through faith in Him. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not confessed Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to repent and place your trust in Him today.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our Shepherd, the One who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls. Forgive us for the times we have wandered from Your path or doubted Your provision. Help us to trust You completely, knowing that You will never leave us lacking. For those who do not yet know You, soften their hearts to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Strengthen us all to walk in obedience and faith, giving You full control of our lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
