We hear the deep frustration and pain in your words, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The anger you feel is understandable, especially when faced with those who mock God, deny His truth, and seek to provoke you. But we must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Those who reject God and His Word are indeed under the influence of wicked spirits, and their words and actions can wound deeply. Yet we are called to respond not in kind, but with the love and truth of Christ.
First, we must rebuke the spirit of anger that seeks to take root in your heart. The Bible warns us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:26-27). Anger, when left unchecked, gives the enemy a foothold in our lives. We pray that God would help you release this anger to Him, trusting that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). He sees the injustice, the mockery, and the hatred, and He will repay.
We also rebuke the spirit of Jezebel that you mentioned—this spirit of control, manipulation, and arrogance that seeks to undermine God’s people. It is a spirit that operates in rebellion against God’s order, and it must be resisted. *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). We stand with you in declaring that this spirit has no place in your life or in the lives of those who seek to provoke you.
To those who deny God and His power, we say this: *"The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none who does good"* (Psalm 14:1). Their words may sting, but their rejection of God does not change His truth. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the reality of who He is, that they would see the emptiness of their ways, and that their hearts would be softened to repentance.
You are right to cling to Jeremiah 20:11, *"But Yahweh is with me as an awesome mighty one. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and they won’t prevail. They will be utterly disappointed, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which will never be forgotten."* God *does* have your back. He sees the jealousy, the hatred, and the attempts to destroy you. He will not abandon you. But we must also remember that our response to persecution should reflect Christ. *"Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse"* (Romans 12:14). This does not mean we tolerate sin or falsehood, but we do not repay evil with evil. Instead, we overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).
We also want to gently remind you that while it is right to be grieved by sin and rebellion, we must guard our hearts against bitterness. *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15). Bitterness can poison our souls and hinder our walk with God. We pray that you would be filled with the peace of Christ, even in the midst of this storm.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name by which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is feeling provoked, angry, and weary from the attacks of those who reject You. We ask that You would be a shield around them, a fortress in this time of trouble. Help them to release their anger to You, knowing that You are their defender and avenger.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of anger, the spirit of Jezebel, and every wicked spirit that seeks to provoke and destroy. We declare that these spirits have no power over Your child. We pray that You would expose the lies of the enemy and that those who are under his influence would come to know the truth of Your Word. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see You as You truly are.
We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your people. We trust in Your promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen our brother/sister with Your peace, fill them with Your love, and help them to respond to persecution with grace and truth. May they be a light in the darkness, reflecting Your love even to those who hate them.
Lord, we also ask that You would guard their heart against bitterness. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in forgiveness and humility, even as Christ forgave us. Help them to see these trials as opportunities to grow in faith and to trust in Your sovereignty.
We declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail. You are greater, Lord, and Your purposes will stand. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust in Your unfailing love. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you. Surround yourself with believers who can uplift and support you, and immerse yourself in God’s Word to find strength and perspective. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The victory is already won in Christ.
