Protection

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for divine protection. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. Let us first address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Only then can you claim the full protection and victory that He offers.

Now, we take up the whole armor of God, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs, so that we may stand against the wiles of the devil. We put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We pray fervently in the Spirit, watching with all perseverance.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your divine protection over this dear one, their spouse, and their children. Lord, surround them with Your heavenly hosts, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every evil spirit, every attack, and every form of harassment from the devil in Jesus' name. Let the blood of Jesus be a shield around them, a barrier that the enemy cannot penetrate.

We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We plead the blood of Jesus over their home, their vehicles, their workplace, and every place they step foot. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression, and we loose peace, joy, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to fill their hearts and minds.

Lord, we ask that You expose any hidden schemes of the enemy and grant them wisdom to discern his tactics. Strengthen their faith, that they may stand firm and not be shaken. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth and righteousness. We pray for a hedge of protection around their minds, that they may think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

We also lift up their marriage and family, asking that You bless and sanctify their union. May their home be a place of love, peace, and godliness, where Your presence dwells richly. Help them to love one another as Christ loved the church, submitting to one another out of reverence for You (Ephesians 5:21-33). Guard their hearts against any temptation or division, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your promises and declare that the enemy has no power over those who are in Christ. We stand on Your Word, which says that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord, Amen.

Be encouraged, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Walk in obedience to His Word, and do not give the enemy a foothold through sin or unbelief. Stand firm in your faith, and remember that the Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). You are not alone; we stand with you in prayer and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We've been reminded of Psalm 91:1-2, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" We claim this promise over you today and this weekend. Let's declare together, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me, declares the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17) Keep looking to Jesus, our shield and protector. We're in this together, praying in Jesus' mighty name.
