We come before the Lord with you in this time of distress, lifting up your family and these deep concerns for protection, healing, and provision. The creepy and unsettling things happening to your family are not from God, for He is a God of peace, not of confusion or fear. The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Whatever darkness may be at work, we stand firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the enemy. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We must put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to stand against these schemes.
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and it is only through His name that we have authority and access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in repenting of your sins and believing in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life.
As for healing your hearts, we know the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He is your healer, your comforter, and your strength. Lean on Him fully, casting all your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If there are unresolved sins, bitterness, or unforgiveness in your family, we encourage you to address them, for these can open doors to the enemy. Repentance and forgiveness are key to walking in freedom and restoration.
You’ve also asked for your skills to be sharpened and your reputation maintained. Proverbs 22:29 says, *"Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men."* Seek the Lord in all you do, and He will guide your steps. Your reputation, too, is safe in His hands when you walk in integrity. Proverbs 22:1 declares, *"A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold."* Trust that as you honor God, He will honor you.
Your desire to be raised to high places aligns with the promise in Isaiah 58:14, where the Lord says, *"then you will delight yourself in Yahweh; and I will make you ride on the high places of the earth; and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it."* But remember, high places in God’s kingdom are not about worldly elevation; they are about spiritual authority, influence for His glory, and walking in humility before Him. James 4:10 reminds us, *"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you."*
Finally, you’ve asked for blessings on your finances for God’s goals. We encourage you to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide all you need (Matthew 6:33). Be faithful stewards of what He has given you, for *"it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful"* (1 Corinthians 4:2). Give generously, save wisely, and avoid the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). When your heart is aligned with God’s purposes, He will bless the work of your hands.
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You surround them with Your divine protection, Lord. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Rebuke every evil force at work in their lives, every creepy and unsettling thing that seeks to bring fear or harm. Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, and deliver them from every snare of the enemy (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we ask for healing for their hearts. Mend what is broken, restore what has been lost, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove any bitterness, unforgiveness, or sin that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew their minds by Your Word. Sharpen their skills, Lord, and give them wisdom in all they do. Let their work be excellent, glorifying to You, and let their reputation be one of integrity and honor.
Lord, lift them to the high places You have prepared for them—not for their own glory, but for Yours. Let them walk in humility, seeking Your face in all things. Bless their finances, Father, and multiply their resources for Your kingdom’s purposes. Teach them to be faithful stewards, generous givers, and wise managers of all You entrust to them.
Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You. If there is anyone in this family who does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to the truth, convict their hearts, and lead them to repentance. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your resurrection in their lives.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your goodness. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they walk in the victory that Jesus has already won. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
