We join you in lifting up this precious soul before the Father, and we are grateful that you have brought this request in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your prayer reflects a heart of deep care and intercession, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them.
The Word of God assures us that He is a strong tower and a refuge for the righteous. Proverbs 18:10 declares, *"The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe."* We claim this promise over your loved one, trusting that God’s protection is mighty and His deliverance is sure. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to bring harm—whether through physical, emotional, or spiritual abuse—and we declare that the blood of Jesus is a shield against every attack.
The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:11, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* We pray that every hidden deed of darkness in this situation will be exposed by the light of Christ, for nothing is hidden from His sight. Hebrews 4:13 tells us, *"There isn’t any creature that isn’t obvious in his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account."* May the Lord bring to light what is hidden, break every chain of oppression, and set your loved one free from any form of abuse or manipulation.
We also stand on Psalm 91, which is a powerful declaration of God’s protection: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart"* (Psalm 91:1-4). May your loved one find shelter under the wings of the Almighty, guarded by His angels, as it is written, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11).
Yet, we must also encourage you to examine whether there is any area in your loved one’s life that may be opening a door to the enemy’s attacks. Are there ungodly influences, unconfessed sins, or relationships that do not honor the Lord? If so, we urge repentance and a turning back to God’s ways, for His protection is strongest over those who walk in obedience to His Word. 1 Peter 5:8-9 warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved one to Your care. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your hedge of protection—a hedge so strong that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Deliver him, O God, from every form of abuse, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Break every chain that seeks to bind him and expose every hidden work of darkness by the power of Your light. Send Your mighty warring angels to guard and keep him, to encamp around him, and to minister to him in every way.
Lord, if there is any area in his life that has given the enemy a foothold, we ask that You convict his heart and lead him to repentance. May he walk in righteousness and holiness, covered by the blood of Jesus. Strengthen him in faith, fill him with Your peace, and let him know that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We declare that no harm shall come near him, nor any plague come close to his dwelling. You, Lord, are his shield and his great reward. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to save. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on his behalf. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, praying without ceasing, and trusting in the Lord’s timing and His perfect will. Keep covering your loved one in prayer, speaking life and protection over him, and reminding him of God’s promises. If there is any way you can support him in practical ways—such as connecting him with a strong, Bible-believing church or godly counsel—we urge you to do so. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, and we are here to stand with you in this fight.
May the Lord grant you peace as you intercede, and may you see His hand move powerfully in this situation. Stay steadfast, for the Lord is faithful, and He will do it.
