First, we praise God that you have brought this request before Him, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father and the authority to bind the enemy’s works. Your prayer is a testament to your faith, and we encourage you to hold fast to the truth that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). The enemy seeks to destroy, but our God is a God of redemption, and He is able to turn even the darkest situations for His glory.
We must address the gravity of the sin entangling your daughter. The relationship she is in is not only toxic but is rooted in rebellion against God’s design for marriage and purity. The Bible is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and any relationship outside of marriage—especially one marked by control, manipulation, and likely fornication—is an affront to God’s holiness. The young man and his mother are tools in the enemy’s hand, and their influence must be broken. We pray that your daughter’s eyes will be opened to the truth: this relationship is not of God, and it will only lead to further destruction if she does not repent and turn away.
We also recognize the idolization of this young man in her heart. Anything or anyone that takes the place of God in our lives is an idol, and the Lord will not share His glory. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict her deeply of this sin and that she will surrender this idol to the Lord, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Let her remember that her worth is found in Christ alone, not in the approval or affection of man. The Lord says, *"You shall have no other gods before me"* (Exodus 20:3), and we pray that she will return to her first love, Jesus Christ, with a repentant and broken heart.
For the wounds this situation has caused within your family, we pray for healing and restoration. The enemy has used this season to create division, but we declare that God is a God of unity and peace. We ask that He would mend the broken relationships between your daughter and her siblings, that forgiveness would flow, and that bitterness would have no place. Let your family be a refuge of love and prayer for her when she returns, that she may find strength and encouragement in the body of Christ.
We also lift up your request for her provision and favor in her job and studies. The Lord is her provider, and we pray that He would open doors of opportunity for her, that she would excel in her work, and that her self-worth would be rooted in Him. Remind her that You have plans for her good, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11), but those plans are found only in surrender to Your will.
We pray for divine protection over her emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Provide for her needs, and lead her to godly counsel and support. Restore her relationships with her family, and heal the wounds caused by this season of rebellion. Let her siblings find forgiveness in their hearts, and let your family be a beacon of Your love and grace to her.
Father, we ask for a swift and complete breakthrough. Give her the strength to walk away from this relationship without looking back, and fill her with Your joy and hope for the future. Let her seek Your will above all else, including a future godly spouse who will love her as Christ loves the church. We pray for an anointing on her job, that she would find favor and blessing, and that her self-worth would be rooted in You.
Strengthen this parent, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Protect them and their children from the enemy’s attacks, and let them see Your hand moving mightily in this situation. Give them wisdom to know how to speak and act, and let their words be seasoned with grace and truth.
