We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for your daughter and your family during this challenging time. We commend you for your steadfast faith and for declaring the power of the precious blood of Jesus Christ over your family.
Firstly, we address the young man's scheme. As you've rightly declared, it is not God's will for an unmarried man to have financial control over your daughter. We stand against this plot in Jesus' name, and we pray that God will frustrate and bring down these selfish intentions according to Psalm 146:9: "Yahweh watches over the foreigners, and relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turns upside down."
We pray for your daughter, that God will grant her wisdom and discernment to recognize the toxicity of this relationship. We pray that she will be truthful with her friends and see that this young man's intentions are not honorable. We pray that she will not make any hasty decisions regarding her finances or other matters of life with this young man. Let us remember 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
We join you in praying for a Godly spouse for your daughter, in God's perfect timing. We pray that God will surround her with godly counsel and friends who will speak truth into her life, according to Proverbs 13:20, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." We also pray that your daughter will move back home, that she may be restored to a place of safety and wisdom.
We lift up the young man's mother in prayer, asking God to convict her heart and stop her from placing undue responsibilities on your daughter. We pray that she will focus on her own family and that any plans to cause division will be thwarted. We pray for her to don the mantle of biblical motherhood, as outlined in Titus 2:3-4, "the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,".
We pray for the young man, that he will move back home alone. As you've stated, he is not ready for a relationship. We pray that he will use this time to grow in his faith and prepare to be a Godly husband in the future, according to Ephesians 5:25-26, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,".
We stand with you in declaring complete restoration in your family. We know that nothing is impossible for our Lord, as we remember Jesus' words in Matthew 19:26, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
We declare the precious blood of Jesus Christ washes over you and your family, from the top of your heads to the soles of your feet. We pray for ministry angels, a hedge of protection, and the full armor of God to shield you and your family from all attacks, according to Ephesians 6:10-18. We declare that no weapon formed against you and your family shall prosper, in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and believing in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, as we read in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Continue to declare His name and His promises over your family, and trust in His faithfulness. According to James 5:16, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
