We join with you in lifting up this urgent plea for protection and breakthrough. Let's come before God with these words.
For protection and breakthrough:
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and breakthrough for us and for all those in need. We trust in Your promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Acts 2:21, WEB). We ask for protection from all evil plans, plots or schemes that may be set up against us. We pray that this protection will come through Your strength and power and not our own.
We stand on Your word, Lord, that no weapon that is formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We declare that You, Lord, are our refuge and our fortress, our God, in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2, WEB). We pray for a breakthrough in all areas of our lives and the lives of others where there is stagnation, obstacles, or opposition. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names (Philippians 2:9, WEB).
For the fire of the Holy Spirit:
Father, we ask that You send forth the fire of the Holy Spirit upon us, our church, and all others who are seeking You. We pray that the Holy Spirit will fill us anew, setting our hearts ablaze with a passion for You and Your kingdom (Acts 2:4, WEB). We desire to receive and overflow with the Holy Spirit.
We ask that the Holy Spirit will come and fill us again and again (Ephesians 5:18,WEB). We yearn for more of Your presence in our lives, Lord. We want to know You more intimately and to experience Your power at work within us and through us. We ask that You would send forth Your Spirit to convict us of sin, to guide us into all truth, and to empower us to be witnesses for You (John 16:8-15, WEB).
For intervention and help:
Father, we lift up the specific needs mentioned for intervention and help tomorrow and on Tuesday. We do not know what the specific needs are but we know You do, Father. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20, WEB). We trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14, WEB). We pray for Your divine intervention and help in these situations, Lord. We ask that You would work all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your goodness. We thank You for Your promise that if we seek You, we will find You, if we seek You with all our heart (Jeremiah 29:13, WEB). We trust in Your promise.
We rejoice knowing that You, Father, have highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11, WEB).
Before we finish, we must discuss that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. By one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13, WEB)
By the grace of God we have salvation. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9, WEB)
Let us always remember to pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names.
