We are truly sorry to hear about your father's condition and the financial burden your family is facing. Let us first address with thanksgiving in your request that you ended with God and an implied question. Remember, that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We are thankful that you acknowledge God. But let us now lift up the name of Jesus. Let us remember the word of God in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In times of trouble, we should always come boldly to the throne of grace. As it says in Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
We can trust that God cares for us and will provide for our needs. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, "Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
We should also remember that God is the one who both heals and provides. As it says in Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We can trust in Him for your father's healing and for the financial provision your family needs.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in Jesus' name, lifted up in praise for your faithfulness and love. We ask, Lord, that you would heal our brother’s father, granting him renewed strength and health. We trust in your power to heal and your promise to provide for our needs.
Lord, we also lift up the financial burden this family is facing. We know that you are a good Father who cares for his children. We ask Father that you provide the funds needed for your servant's care, and that you would protect their finances. Let them not be overcome by the schemes of the devil, but let them stand firm in your promises.
Father, we also pray for this family's peace, that they would not be anxious, but that they would trust in you. Let them remember Jesus' words, in John 10:10 WEB, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." Father, let them not be destroyed, but let them have abundant life in Jesus' name.
We pray for the doctor's treating him, that you would provide them with wisdom and insight to care for him. Let them remember the Hippocratic Oath, as you originally intended it for the good of the patient, and let them be faithful and wise in the care they provide. Lord, supernaturally intervene in his body where there is sickness and heal him in Jesus' name, letting his body function the way it was intended to function.
Lord, let this family remember the words of Psalm 23:1-6 WEB, "Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in Yahweh’s house forever".
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
