We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child—your son—as he prepares to travel. Father God, You are the ultimate Protector, the One who goes before us and stands behind us, the One who encamps around those who fear You. We ask that You would place Your holy angels around him, guarding him in all his ways, just as Your Word promises in Psalm 91:11-12: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* Lord, cover him with Your wings, shield him from harm, and guide his steps according to Your perfect will.
We also bring before You the desire for job opportunities in 2026. Father, You know the plans You have for him—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would open doors that no man can shut, provide favor in the eyes of those who can offer meaningful work, and align his skills, passions, and purpose with the opportunities You have prepared. May he walk in the calling You have placed on his life, using his gifts to glorify You and serve others.
Lord, we also lift up any areas of his life that may not be fully surrendered to You. If there are habits, relationships, or mindsets that do not align with Your Word, we ask that You would convict him gently but firmly, drawing him closer to You. May he seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto him (Matthew 6:33). If he has not yet placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would soften his heart, reveal the truth of the Gospel to him, and lead him to repentance and faith. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved—only the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12).
We rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be creeping into his heart or yours, dear parent. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on the promise that if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31). We declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he will walk in divine protection and provision.
Father, we also ask that You would strengthen the bond between parent and child. May your love and wisdom flow through this relationship, offering encouragement, accountability, and support. Help this family to trust in You completely, casting all their cares upon You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who hears our prayers and intercedes for us. May Your will be done in this young man’s life, and may Your glory be revealed through every step he takes. Amen.
