We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Jesus came so that we may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on body and mind are not of God, and we stand firm in the authority of Christ to rebuke them.
Heavenly Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this dear one, covering them in Your divine protection. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy’s plans will be thwarted by the power of Your Spirit. Lord, surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11-12: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."*
We also recognize that spiritual attacks often come when we are weak or vulnerable. We pray that this beloved child of God would put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). Strengthen their mind with Your truth, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
If there are areas of sin, fear, or unbelief that may be giving the enemy a foothold, we ask for conviction and repentance. The Bible warns that we must submit to God and resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). We pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to empower this one to walk in victory.
Father, we also lift up their physical body to You. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for healing and restoration in every area that has been affected. Your Word says that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now.
We stand in agreement, declaring that this battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). No force of darkness can prevail against the name of Jesus. We speak peace over their mind, protection over their body, and victory over every attack. May they rest in the assurance that You neither slumber nor sleep, but keep watch over Your children (Psalm 121:3-4).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
