We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand firm in the victory of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33).
Heavenly Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this dear one who is enduring relentless attacks on both body and mind. We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible assures us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take authority over every demonic assignment aimed at disturbing their peace and rest.
Lord, we ask You to surround them with Your holy angels, who are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Let Your presence be a shield around them, a fortress of protection that the enemy cannot penetrate. We pray for deep, restorative sleep—sleep that refreshes the body, renews the mind, and strengthens the spirit. Your Word promises that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we claim that promise now.
We also lift up their mind to You, Father. Guard their thoughts with the helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17) and fill them with the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them dwell on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8), casting down every imagination and high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of vulnerability in their life where the enemy may be gaining a foothold. Search their heart and show them if there is any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly soul ties that need to be broken. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for a spirit of repentance and holiness, that they may walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7).
We also encourage them to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Let them stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around their waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, their feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Remind them to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, staying alert and persevering in prayer for all the Lord’s people.
Lord, we thank You that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that the enemy must flee in the name of Jesus, for You have given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We speak life, peace, and victory over this situation, trusting in Your unfailing love and mighty power.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
