Protection from spiritual attacks

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on both body and mind are not mere coincidences—they are spiritual warfare, and we must stand firm in the armor of God.
First, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Him (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray that you would put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:13-18 instructs: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We encourage you to pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, staying alert with perseverance.
Father God, we ask You to surround this dear one with Your heavenly hosts. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, declaring that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Lord, we ask for deep, restorative sleep—sleep that refreshes and strengthens, knowing that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or involvement in things not of God? James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Submit yourself fully to God, resist the enemy, and he *will* flee.
Lastly, we remind you that you are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence (Psalm 91:3). Stand firm in faith, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
