We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on both body and mind are not of God, for He gives His beloved rest and peace.
Father, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this dear one in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word declares in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. May this one be shielded by the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the accusations of the enemy.
We pray for divine protection over their mind, that no tormenting thought or fear would take root. Philippians 4:7 assures us, *"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, let Your peace stand as a sentinel over their thoughts, casting down every imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of You. Fill them with Your truth, that they may recognize the enemy’s lies and reject them.
For their body, we declare healing and strength. Psalm 91:5-6 promises, *"You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday."* We cover them in this promise, Lord. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned.
We also encourage this one to draw near to You, Father, for the enemy flees when we resist him in Your strength. James 4:7 says, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* May they find refuge in Your presence, abiding in Your Word and in prayer. Surround them with godly fellowship, that they may be strengthened and encouraged in their faith.
Lastly, we remind them that victory is already won through Christ. Colossians 2:15 declares, *"Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* The enemy is a defeated foe, and we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to station Your angels around this one, to guard them in all their ways. Let Your light dispel every darkness, and let Your peace reign in their heart, mind, and body. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill them with the assurance that You are their refuge and fortress. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
