We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God assures us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We take authority in the name of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed these powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).
Beloved, the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). These disturbances in your sleep and the relentless attacks on your body and mind are not from God, who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We put on the full armor of God with you, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). We pray that you will wield this armor with confidence, knowing that the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Heavenly Father, we ask You to surround this dear one with Your holy angels, who are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for deep, restorative sleep, free from nightmares and disturbances, as they rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).
We also encourage you to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, meditate on it day and night, and do not let it depart from your mouth (Joshua 1:8). The enemy cannot stand against the name of Jesus or the power of His Word.
Lord, we thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Strengthen this dear one in their faith, and let them experience Your peace that transcends all understanding.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
