We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and we recognize the very real warfare being waged against your body and mind. These disturbances in sleep are not mere coincidences—they are strategic assaults from the powers of darkness, and we stand firmly against them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
First, we must affirm that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We take up the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—which is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:13-17). We declare that you are not defenseless; you are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that has sought to steal your peace and disrupt your rest. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every lying spirit to flee in Jesus’ name, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We break every assignment of the enemy against your sleep, your mind, and your body, and we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are redeemed, forgiven, and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:7, 13-14). The enemy seeks to wear you down, but the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on Scripture day and night, and the Lord will give you rest (Joshua 1:8).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and we ask that You would be their shield and their fortress. Surround them with Your holy angels to guard and protect them from every scheme of the enemy. We break every curse, every assignment, and every spirit of torment that has been sent against them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm their mind, still their heart, and grant them restful sleep. Let Your presence be a blanket of comfort over them, and let them wake up refreshed and renewed in Your strength. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we declare that they are covered by the precious blood of the Lamb.
Lord, strengthen their faith and remind them that You are with them always. Help them to stand firm in Your truth and to resist the enemy with the authority You have given them in Christ. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power, love, and a sound mind. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You will deliver them from every attack of the enemy. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but the Lord is your strength. Put on the full armor of God daily, and stand firm in the victory that Christ has already won. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts fights for you. Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
