We understand that you're going through a deeply distressing time, and we're here to pray and guide you through this. First, we commend you for repenting from your past mistake of looking up pornography. The Bible tells us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Jesus himself said, Every one who sins is a slave of sin. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:34,36.
Now, let's address the distressing feelings you're experiencing. The Bible is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
However, we need to be careful not to attribute everything to demonic influence. It's important to consider that feelings of guilt and shame from the pornography use could be manifesting as these distressing feelings. This doesn't mean demons are literally attacking you. We should be careful about cursing or praying against people or even spirits in retaliation. Instead, we should focus on praying for protection, healing, and deliverance.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, they have confessed and repented from their sin, and we ask that you forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.
We pray against any spiritual attack that may be occurring, and we ask that you protect them with your hedge of protection. We pray for their internal organs, that you would heal any infirmity and bring complete restoration.
We also pray for their mind and emotions, that you would bring peace and reassurance. Cast out any fear or anxiety, and fill them with your perfect love, which drives out all fear.
In Jesus' name, we pray for deliverance and freedom from any demonic influence. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment they shall condemn.
Finally, Lord, we ask that you guide them in your paths of righteousness. Help them to live a life pleasing to you, that they may not give the devil a foothold.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen
Remember, God loves you and has forgiven you. Stand firm in your faith and resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:7-8 WEB.
If these feelings persist, we strongly encourage you to seek help from a medical professional, as it could be a sign of a underlying psychological issue. Continue to pray and seek God's face.
