Protection from abuse
We stand with you in deep concern and urgency, lifting up your son before the throne of grace. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We cry out for His divine intervention, that He would surround your son with His heavenly hosts and shield him from every form of harm and danger. Father, we ask that You break every chain of abuse and bring it to an immediate end. Let Your justice roll like a river and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).
We rebuke the spirit of violence and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). We declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray that those who seek to harm him would be confounded and turned back. Lord, expose any hidden darkness and bring it into Your light, for You are the God who sees and acts on behalf of the vulnerable.
We also pray for wisdom and courage for you and your family as you navigate this difficult situation. May the Lord guide your steps and provide a way of escape for your son (1 Corinthians 10:13). If there are authorities or individuals who need to be involved to ensure his safety, we ask that You grant them discernment and a heart to act swiftly and justly.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You heal any wounds—physical, emotional, or spiritual—that your son may have endured. Pour out Your comfort and peace upon him, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and deeply loved by You. Strengthen his faith and let him know that You are his defender and deliverer.
