We stand with you in this urgent cry for protection, and we lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that He is a mighty fortress and a deliverer to those who call upon His name. The evil of abuse is an affront to God, who calls us to love one another as He has loved us. Scripture declares in **Psalm 121:7-8**, *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* We claim this promise over your son, trusting that God sees his suffering and will act on his behalf.
The Lord is clear in His commandments to protect the vulnerable. **Proverbs 31:8-9** instructs us, *"Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* Abuse is a grievous sin, and we must not remain silent. If this harm is happening at the hands of someone in authority—whether a family member, caregiver, or another individual—we urge you to take immediate action to remove your son from danger. Seek help from trusted believers, law enforcement, or organizations equipped to intervene. The Lord often works through His people to bring about justice and protection.
We also call upon the power of Jesus’ name, as you have rightly done, for He alone has authority over every evil force. **Colossians 1:13** reminds us that God *"delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love."* If there are spiritual forces at work in this abuse, we rebuke them in the name of Jesus, commanding them to flee, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (**1 John 4:4**). No weapon formed against your son shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and we declare that the Lord will expose and dismantle every plan of the enemy.
At the same time, we pray for the abuser—that God would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. **Ezekiel 33:11** says, *"As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways!"* May the Holy Spirit move mightily in their life, breaking the chains of sin and leading them to true transformation in Christ. However, we also recognize that while we pray for their repentance, your son’s safety must be the immediate priority.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child who is suffering at the hands of others. Lord Jesus, You said in **Matthew 18:6**, *"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea."* Father, we ask that You intervene swiftly and powerfully. Place a hedge of protection around this son, hiding him under the shadow of Your wings (**Psalm 91:4**). Expose every act of darkness and bring it into the light. Give wisdom and courage to his mother and all those in authority to act decisively to stop this abuse. Lord, if there are others suffering alongside him, deliver them too.
We bind every spirit of violence, cruelty, and deception in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against this child shall prosper. Restore what has been stolen—his peace, his joy, his trust, and his sense of safety. Father, heal his heart and mind from the trauma he has endured. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (**Psalm 139:14**), and that You see him, love him, and will never forsake him.
For the abuser, Lord, we ask that You break their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh (**Ezekiel 36:26**). Bring them to true repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek forgiveness. If they refuse to repent, Lord, remove their ability to harm others. Bring justice, Father, for You are a God of justice (**Isaiah 30:18**).
We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work. Strengthen this mother with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**), and surround her with godly support. Provide for every need—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—as she seeks to protect her son. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and Scripture. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you practically and spiritually. If you have not already, consider reaching out to a pastor or biblical counselor who can walk with you through this trial. Remember that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**), and He will not abandon you or your son. Keep trusting in Him, for He is faithful.
