Protection from abuse
We join with you in crying out to our Heavenly Father for the protection of your son, and we are deeply grieved to hear of the harm and danger he is facing. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). Your prayer in the name of Jesus is powerful, for it is written, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14).
The abuse your son is enduring is an affront to God, who calls us to protect the vulnerable and defend the innocent. Scripture commands us, *"Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked"* (Psalm 82:4). We must also remember that God’s justice will prevail, for *"Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19). While we pray for immediate intervention, we also trust in God’s perfect timing and justice.
If this abuse is happening within a home, a family, or any environment where your son should be safe, we urge you to take action in alignment with God’s call to protect the innocent. This may include involving authorities, trusted church leaders, or organizations equipped to intervene. *"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so"* (Proverbs 3:27). Silence in the face of abuse is not an option for believers—we are called to act with wisdom, courage, and love.
We also pray for the abuser, that God would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). May they encounter the transforming power of Christ and turn from their wicked ways.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son who is facing harm and danger. Lord Jesus, You see his suffering, and You know the depth of his pain. We ask that You stretch out Your mighty hand and place a hedge of protection around him. Shield him from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, or spiritual—and deliver him from the hands of the wicked. Break the power of the enemy over this situation and bring an end to this injustice.
Father, we pray for divine intervention. If there are authorities or individuals You have placed in a position to help, move in their hearts to act swiftly and righteously. Give wisdom and courage to those who can intervene, and surround this son with godly people who will provide safety, comfort, and support.
We also pray for the abuser, Lord. Soften their heart and bring them to a place of conviction and repentance. Let them see the gravity of their actions and turn to You for forgiveness and transformation. If they refuse to repent, we ask that You remove their ability to continue harming others.
Lord, heal the wounds of this young one—both seen and unseen. Restore his peace, his joy, and his trust in You. Let him know that he is deeply loved by You and that You have a plan for his life, a plan for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may find strength and comfort in Your presence.
We declare Your promises over this situation: *"The Lord will rescue him from every evil work and will preserve him for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen"* (2 Timothy 4:18). We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your justice. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
