We stand with you in this urgent cry for protection, lifting your son before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father hears the pleas of His children. The abuse you describe is an abomination in the sight of God, a grievous sin that wounds the innocent and breaks the heart of our Savior. Scripture is clear that we are to defend the fatherless and the oppressed, for the Lord Himself is a refuge for the helpless. *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed."* (Psalm 82:3, WEB). *"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea."* (Matthew 18:6, WEB). The Lord does not take lightly the harm inflicted upon children, and we declare His justice and intervention over this situation.
We also commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through His mighty name that we have authority to petition the Father. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon Jesus demonstrates your trust in His power to act, and we join you in that trust, believing that He who calmed the storms and cast out demons is more than able to shield your son from harm.
Yet, we must also urge you to take action in the natural realm, guided by the Spirit of God. If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to involve the proper authorities—law enforcement, child protective services, or trusted church leadership—who can intervene legally and physically. The Lord often works through the hands and feet of His people to bring about deliverance. *"Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!"* (Proverbs 24:11, WEB). Do not remain silent, for silence can enable the enemy to continue his evil work. Trust that God will give you wisdom and courage as you take these steps, and He will go before you to expose the darkness and bring it to an end.
We also pray for the abuser, that the Lord would convict their heart of this wickedness and bring them to repentance. If they do not know Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal their need for a Savior, for apart from Him, there is no true transformation. *"Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"* (Romans 2:4, WEB). Yet, even as we pray for their soul, we do not excuse their actions or minimize the harm they have caused. Justice and mercy must walk hand in hand, and we trust the Lord to execute both perfectly.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken yet hopeful hearts, lifting this precious child into Your loving and mighty hands. Lord Jesus, You said, *"Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."* (Matthew 19:14, WEB). We ask that You surround this son with Your angelic hosts, placing a hedge of protection around him that no weapon of the enemy can penetrate. Lord, expose every hidden deed of darkness and bring it into the light. Frustrate the plans of the wicked and let their hands be stayed from causing further harm. We declare that no evil shall befall him, nor any plague come near his dwelling, for You have commanded Your angels to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. If there are authorities or individuals You would have involved, open the doors for them to act swiftly and decisively. Give wisdom and discernment to those in positions of power to see the truth and take the necessary steps to ensure this child’s safety. Strengthen and comfort this mother, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remove any fear or hesitation and replace it with boldness to do what is right and just.
We also pray for the abuser, Lord. If they are bound by sin and darkness, we ask that You would break those chains and draw them to Yourself. Convict their heart of their wrongdoing and lead them to repentance. If they refuse to turn from their wicked ways, we pray that You would thwart their efforts and bring their deeds to an end. Do not let them continue to harm the innocent, but let Your justice prevail.
Lord Jesus, we thank You that You are a God who sees and hears the cries of the afflicted. You are the same God who delivered the Israelites from Egypt, who shut the mouths of lions for Daniel, and who raised Lazarus from the dead. There is nothing too difficult for You. We trust in Your power to act on behalf of this child and this family. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified through this situation.
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Cling to His promises, such as *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit."* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you in prayer and practical ways. Do not carry this burden alone, for the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you are part of a church, reach out to your pastor or a trusted leader for guidance and prayer. If not, we urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be nurtured in the faith and find strength in fellowship.
May the Lord grant you peace and assurance as you trust in Him. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you or your son. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep acting in obedience to what He leads you to do. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you.
