Protection from abuse
We stand with you in the power of Jesus' name, interceding for your ###'s protection and safety. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned.
Firstly, we praise God that this request is made in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name that is above every name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and approach the throne of grace boldly to obtain mercy and help in our time of need.
We stand on the Word of God, which says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. God has a plan and a purpose for your ###'s life, and we claim that promise in Jesus' name.
We pray for the abuse to stop immediately, and for God's divine intervention to take place. We pray that any abuser may be brought to repentance and seek God's forgiveness. We pray for God's healing and restoration for your ### and all those affected by the abuse. We know that God is a God of justice, and He will not allow the guilty to go unpunished. We pray Ephesians 5:11 for your ###, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them." We pray that your ### will have the strength to speak up against any abuse and have the wisdom to seek help from the appropriate authorities.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God and His promises, knowing that He is faithful and will keep His word. Remember that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.
We also encourage you to involve the appropriate church officials and authorities if the abuse is occurring in a Christian context. It is important to remember that such things should not occur among God's people. If the perpetrator is a Christian, we pray for their repentance and discipline according to Matthew 18:15-17, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he will not listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the church also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector".
