We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and protection for your son. Let us remember God's promise, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares Yahweh, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11). Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder. (Psalm 107:13-14). Let's pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother's plea for her son. You are a loving Father, and we ask that You extend Your hand of protection over him. Shield him from all harm and danger, and put an end to the abuse he and others are facing. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light, that justice may be served and healing may begin.
We pray for the abuser, that they may repent and seek Your face, Lord. We ask that You soften their heart and bring them to a place of remorse and conviction. Help them to turn away from their wicked ways and find forgiveness and redemption in Jesus Christ.
Father, we also pray for healing and restoration for all those who have been affected by this abuse. Comfort them, Lord, and guide them through the process of recovery. Help them to find their strength and hope in You, and to know that they are not alone in their struggles.
We ask for the wisdom and courage needed to intervene and stop the abuse. We ask for godly men and women willing to prevent abuse and be a voice for the abused. We search our hearts and ask how we can be an answer to their prayer. We ask for mercy for ourselves and our own sins. We pray for a revival in our land that we may see a culture of life be exalted and not a culture of death. We pray for this revival to begin in our homes and in our hearts so that we may be examples to our families and children. We pray for a revival that will rid our land of the violence and abuse that results from a life of sin and a culture of death.
Lord, we know that You are a God of justice, and we trust that You will bring an end to this abuse. Help us to be Your hands and feet on earth, working to protect the innocent and bring hope to the hurting.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
