We join with you in lifting up this urgent request for protection, strength, and divine intervention for these inmates and the CEO who may be facing harm. It is clear you have a heart for intercession, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s covering over these individuals in such a vulnerable position. The Bible reminds us that God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the One who sees the afflicted and hears their cries, and He is mighty to save.
In times of danger and uncertainty, we are called to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). For those who are incarcerated, this season can be particularly challenging, but we know that even behind bars, God’s presence is not confined. He is with them, and His power is greater than any scheme of man. The apostle Paul, who himself was imprisoned, wrote, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13). This is the same strength we ask the Lord to pour out upon these inmates and the CEO—strength to endure, wisdom to navigate their circumstances, and courage to stand firm in faith.
We also pray for a supernatural hedge of protection around them, as described in Psalm 91, where God promises to deliver His people from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. *"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart"* (Psalm 91:4). May the Lord frustrate every plan of the enemy to bring harm, confusion, or fear. Let His angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
For the inmates, we pray that this time of incarceration would not be wasted but would become a season of repentance, transformation, and drawing near to God. May they encounter His mercy and grace in a profound way, leading them to a place of true freedom in Christ, regardless of their physical circumstances. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Let this be a time where chains of sin are broken, and hearts are turned toward Him.
For the CEO, we ask for wisdom and discernment in leadership, that they would act with integrity and justice. May the Lord grant them favor in the sight of those in authority and protect them from any harm or retaliation. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1). We pray that God would turn the hearts of those in positions of power to act righteously and with compassion.
Finally, we lift you up as the intercessor in this situation. Your heart for these individuals reflects the compassion of Christ, who came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). We pray that you would be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power as you continue to stand in the gap for them. May you be encouraged by the words of James 5:16, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your people. Today, we lift up these inmates and the CEO who are facing threats and danger. Lord, we ask that You would place a hedge of protection around them—a shield that no weapon formed against them can penetrate. Frustrate the plans of the enemy and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
For the inmates, we pray for safety from physical harm, but even more, we pray for spiritual breakthrough. May this season be one where they encounter Your love and turn to You in repentance and faith. Break every chain of sin and bondage in their lives, and let them find true freedom in You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom and discernment, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
For the CEO, we ask for Your divine protection and wisdom. Give them the courage to lead with integrity and the favor to navigate this situation with godly discernment. Surround them with Your angels, and let no weapon formed against them prosper.
We also pray for those who may be plotting harm. Lord, we ask that You would convict their hearts and turn them away from evil. Soften their hearts toward You, that they may come to know Your love and mercy. Let Your justice and Your grace prevail in this situation.
Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your goodness. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). So we place this entire situation into Your hands, believing that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
