We understand that you're seeking protection and defense from some individuals with whom you've had negative interactions. Firstly, we want to remind you that your ultimate protection comes from God, who is a shield and a strong tower. As it says in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
We also want to encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved and so this should be reflected in our prayers.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this person who is feeling threatened. We ask, Lord, that You surround them with Your favor as with a shield, as it says in Psalm 5:12. Protect them from any plans the enemy may have against them. Guide them in the way of righteousness, and help them to walk in Your truth. Grant them wisdom and discernment in handling these negative interactions, and let Your peace rule in their heart, to which also they were called in one body; and be thankful. Let them also remember Proverbs 25:21-22, "If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink: for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and Yahweh will reward you."
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God's protection and to pray for your enemies, as difficult as that may be. Remember, God is your defender and He is faithful. Be sure to put on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:10-18, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
