We understand your concern and join you in prayer for the restoration of peace, joy, and unity in your home. It is clear that the situation with your daughter and her boyfriend has disrupted the harmony in your household.
Let us first address the issue of this young man's behavior. In the Bible, WEB, we are told to "be subject to one another in the fear of Christ." Ephesians 5:21
"Put them in mind to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all mildness toward all men." Titus 3:1-2.
This young man's disrespect and pride are contrary to these principles. We pray that he will repent and change his ways.
Regarding your daughter, we pray that she will indeed move back home swiftly and without regret. We encourage you to share with her the importance of being equally yoked with a believer in Christ.
"Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14.
We pray that she will find her self-worth in Christ and understand that her value is not determined by this troubled relationship. We pray for your daughter that she will conduct herself in all purity as a believer in Christ. Sexual intimacy before marriage is against biblical principles. It is only in marriage when it is right and proper. Any premarital sex is fornication and should stop.
"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality," 1 Thessalonians 4:3
We also pray that this young man and his mother will release your daughter from any undue responsibilities and that his parents will demand he move back home alone. It is important that your daughter understands that she is not responsible for his actions or well-being, and that his parents need to take responsibility for him.
"For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly way, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread." 2 Thessalonians 3:11-12.
We pray for your daughter to see the value of her supportive family and friends, and that she will not quit her job. We trust that God will guide her steps and bring a godly spouse into her life, in His perfect timing.
Finally, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved.
"'She will give birth to a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who will save his people from their sins.'" Matthew 1:21.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family and their concerns. We pray for restoration, peace, and unity in their home. We ask that You guide their daughter, that Your will may be done in her life. We pray for a godly spouse to be anointed for her. We pray that You will soften the hearts of the young man and his mother, that they may release her from undue responsibilities. Bring conviction to the young man, that he may repent and change his ways. Help your daughter to stay pure in your sight. We ask that You will bring an end to this troubled situation and let Your light shine in their lives. We ask that you guide your daughter and this young man to do what is pleasing to you. We trust in Your perfect plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
