We join with you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in this situation with His mighty power. Your heart for her protection and restoration is evident, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God hears the cries of a parent’s heart for their child.
First, we rebuke any ungodly influences or spiritual strongholds that may be at work in this situation. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We declare that any hold this young man or his mother may have over your daughter is broken in the name of Jesus. We command every lie, manipulation, and toxic influence to be dismantled by the truth of God’s Word.
We pray for your daughter’s eyes to be opened to the truth. The enemy often blinds minds to keep people from seeing the light of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we ask that God would shine His light into her heart and reveal the reality of her situation. Give her the courage to walk away from anything that does not align with Your will for her life. Proverbs 22:3 says, "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself, but the simple pass on and suffer for it." Lord, grant her wisdom and discernment to recognize the toxicity and the strength to leave it behind.
We also lift up her return home, asking that You would make a way for her to come back swiftly. Surround her with Your love, the love of her family, and the truth of Your Word. Remind her of the safety and security she has in You and in her earthly family. Psalm 91:4 assures us, "He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is a shield and a buckler." Let her experience Your protection in every area—her finances, her mind, and her spirit. Guard her from further manipulation and restore her sense of worth and confidence.
Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds in her heart and mind. Restore her relationship with You, reminding her of her identity in Christ. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." Let her remember that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, a beloved daughter of the King, and that her worth is found in You alone. Mend her relationship with her family, bringing unity, peace, and restoration where there has been strain or distance.
We also pray for the young man and his mother. While we do not know their hearts, we ask that You would work in their lives as well. If there is any unrepentant sin or harmful intent, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance. If they are open, draw them to Yourself and transform their lives by the power of Your Spirit.
Finally, we declare that no weapon formed against your daughter will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the promise that God is her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust that He is working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), even in this difficult season.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan for this family. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
