We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, for He is the God who provides, sustains, and delivers His children in their time of need. Your prayer is a beautiful act of surrender, and we are encouraged to see you placing your trust in Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we boldly approach the throne of grace. It is only in Him that we find true rest, provision, and protection, for Scripture declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your dependence on Him, and we rejoice that you have done so.
The struggles you face—providing for your children, the weight of financial obligations, and the uncertainty of your business—are heavy, but they are not hidden from our Heavenly Father. He knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30) and is deeply concerned with every detail of your life. Jesus Himself taught us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient"* (Matthew 6:31-34, WEB). Your prayer for trust over worry aligns with His Word, and we encourage you to hold fast to this promise. Anxiety does not come from the Lord, but peace does. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We also recognize the weight of being a parent with children who depend on you. The Bible makes it clear that providing for one’s family is a godly responsibility. *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). Your desire to meet their needs is honorable, and we pray that the Lord will open doors of provision so you can fulfill this calling without lack. Remember, too, that while you labor to provide for their physical needs, their greatest need is to know and walk with Christ. Teach them to trust in Him, even in these seasons of scarcity, for it is in such times that faith is refined and His faithfulness is made evident.
Regarding your business, we pray for the Lord’s blessing upon the work of your hands. The resort you mention is not just a source of income but a means by which the Lord can display His provision and creativity. *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). We ask that He would bring guests to your resort, that He would grant you wisdom in managing it, and that He would restore what was lost in the lean months. The Lord is able to multiply your resources as He did with the widow’s oil (2 Kings 4:1-7) and the loaves and fishes (Matthew 14:13-21). Trust that He can turn your scarcity into abundance, not for your glory, but for His name’s sake.
We must also address the matter of the loans and payables you mentioned. While the Bible does not forbid borrowing, it warns strongly against the bondage that debt can bring. *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7, WEB). We pray that the Lord would grant you favor with your creditors, that they would indeed be patient as you seek to honor your commitments. At the same time, we encourage you to seek godly counsel on managing your finances wisely, perhaps through your church or trusted believers who can help you steward your resources in a way that brings freedom rather than bondage. *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty"* (Proverbs 21:5, WEB). Let this season drive you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in every financial decision, that you may walk in obedience and trust.
Lastly, we lift up your request for the protection of your heart. The pressures you face can easily lead to discouragement, fear, or even bitterness if not surrendered daily to Christ. *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is every issue of life"* (Proverbs 4:23, WEB). We pray that the Lord would guard your heart against anxiety, despair, and the lies of the enemy who seeks to steal your joy and peace. Clothe yourself in the armor of God, standing firm in the truth of His Word and the assurance of His love for you. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB).
Now, let us pray together over these matters:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her needs, her burdens, and her heart to You. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon her that she would not have room enough to receive (Malachi 3:10). Meet every need—tuition, rent, daily expenses—and let her children lack no good thing. Father, we pray for the flourishing of her business. Bring guests to the resort, Lord, and let it be a place of rest and refreshment for many. Restore what was lost in the lean months, and let her testify of Your faithfulness. Grant her wisdom in managing her finances, and provide a way for her debts to be paid in full. Soften the hearts of her creditors, Lord, and let them extend patience and grace as she works diligently to honor her commitments.
Protect her heart, Father. Guard her mind from worry and her spirit from discouragement. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in You grow deeper with each passing day. Remind her that You are her strength and her shield, her ever-present help in trouble. Let her children see Your hand at work in their lives, and may this season draw their family closer to You.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, lack, and despair in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn. Father, let Your light shine upon her path, and lead her in the way she should go. May she seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We thank You for Your promises, which are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Let Your will be done in her life, and let Your name be glorified through her testimony. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
