We understand that you're feeling under spiritual attack and seeking God's protection. Firstly, it's crucial to know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 WEB
As believers, we are called to stand firm and be prepared by putting on the full armor of God. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace on our feet, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17.
It's also important to address the desire to "strike back." According to scripture, we are not to repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9 WEB. Furthermore, do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who feels under attack. We pray for your divine protection and intervention, Lord. Surround them with your favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12. Guide them in the paths of righteousness. Psalm 23:3. Strengthen them to stand firm against any spiritual attack and empower them to walk in the full armor of God. We do not ask that you remove the hardship but instead provide them the strength to endure and overcome while trusting in you. Through Jesus we also ask our brother/sister to be delivered from the desire or plan for revenge or to strike back. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 WEB. Trust in him, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 WEB.
Lastly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 WEB. Furthermore, there is no other name given under heaven by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
