We understand your heart’s desire for prosperity, victory, success, blessings, and favor, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. However, we must first address something vital: the name of Jesus is not merely a phrase to be added for emphasis or as a formula—it is the very foundation of our faith and the only way we can approach the Father. Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His sacrifice on the cross, and His resurrection that we have access to God’s throne of grace. When we pray, we come before Him in reverence, acknowledging that all blessings flow from His sovereign hand, not because of our demands or repetitive phrases, but because of His mercy and will.
True prosperity is not measured by worldly wealth or success alone, but by our alignment with God’s Word and His purposes. Jesus warned, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"* (Matthew 6:19-21, WEB). Our prayer is that you seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you in addition"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
We also encourage you to examine your heart: Are you seeking blessings for God’s glory or for personal gain? Scripture reminds us, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures"* (James 4:3, WEB). Let us instead pray for God’s will to be done in your life and in the lives of your family, that He would grant you wisdom, contentment, and the strength to walk in obedience to His Word. True victory is found in surrendering to Christ, not in worldly achievements.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). There is no greater blessing than to be reconciled to God through His Son.
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, acknowledging that all good things come from Your hand. We ask that You would align the desires of [name withheld] and their family with Your perfect will. Lord, if there are areas in their lives where they have sought prosperity, success, or favor apart from You, we pray for conviction and repentance. Teach them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all they need according to Your riches in glory.
Father, we ask for Your wisdom to guide their steps, that they would not be led astray by the love of money or worldly success, but would find their satisfaction in You alone. *"Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is Yahweh?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God"* (Proverbs 30:8-9, WEB). May they walk in integrity, generosity, and faith, knowing that You are their Provider.
We pray for spiritual prosperity above all—that they would grow in the knowledge of Christ, bear fruit in every good work, and walk in the victory that He has already won over sin and death. *"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 15:57, WEB). May their lives be a testimony of Your grace, and may they experience the deep joy that comes from walking in obedience to Your Word.
For any areas where they have fallen short, we ask for Your forgiveness and restoration. If there is any sin—whether it be greed, idolatry, or misplaced priorities—we pray for a spirit of repentance and a heart that is fully surrendered to You. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
We also lift up their family, Father. Bind them together in love, unity, and faith. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your favor rest upon them—not for their own glory, but that Your name would be magnified through their lives. *"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16, WEB).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the eternal perspective—that they would store up treasures in heaven and live with an eye toward the life to come. May they find their ultimate victory in Christ alone, who has overcome the world.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
