PROPHECY IS FOR BELIEVERS

As always, please be advised that you are never under any obligation to read my posts. My contribution to the spreading of God's Word, whether through gospel or prophecy, is intended for receptive ears only.

What began with satan is still prevalent today. Those who interfere in God's processes, still attempt to corrupt, control, and even steal God's ministries.

• Satan rolled against God
• The snake rolled against Adam and Eve; which was also to roll against God
• False prophets, the church, cities and nations all rolled against God's prophets; which was also to roll against God.
• Judas, the Pharisees, and even his own hometown rolled against Jesus; which was also to roll against God

Acts 5:39 (NLT)

"But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”

Disregarding prophecy can stifle the work of the Holy Spirit, which is why this command to "Despise not prophesyings" is directly related to "Quench not the Spirit." Testing the prophecies prevents the historical mistake of ignoring God's messengers because the messages are uncomfortable or challenging. Prophesying rarely include smooth or flowery words, but always comes with warning, instruction, and consequence. Therefore, as it is written:

1 Corinthians 14:22 (NLT)

So you see that speaking in tongues is a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for the benefit of believers, not unbelievers.

Despite whatever physical offering is given, it is weighed against the givers countenance (i.e. spiritual attitude). Therefore, belief is imperative from the onset. When a city's spiritual response is to despise the prophecy or prophet, there is no reward [###]. It's neither the messenger nor God who causes forfeiture, but rather, the spirit of unbelief. Even more is forfeiture the outcome when a city attempts to control the Prophet's ministry: "Physician, heal thyself," [###].

As stated before, not only is the prophecy for believers, so likewise is the reward.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of them that diligently (sincerely) seek Him.

Because God is the rewarder He is also the one who withholds the reward. But, why would a city even expect to receive a prophet's reward if another city, the servant's family, or the servant herself fulfills the requirements of that city's test? The city's claim is based on the totality of their offering. Which means that whatever is given, including a cup of cold water, is offset by every attack and injustice committed against God's servant. God adjusts every claim according to His scale of justice.

You see, God has already planned everything from the end to the beginning; His only requirement is that we roll with His plans.

Afterthought: Testing. Like ###, a city may believe in the power based on what she sees other cities getting; but, that type of belief doesn’t necessarily honor God. And certainly not if she seeks to exploit the servant's spiritual gift. Again, I have nothing to do with games, that's part of the testing: 2 Timothy 2:5

🙏God, I ask You in Jesus' name bless and strengthen me to live my life for Your glory, approval, and applause. Let me live to see You smile and hear You say, "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant and Friend. Well, Done." God please do the same for the writer of this prayer. Thank You Jesus. Amen, so be it by faith.
