PRODIGALS DO GO TO CHURCH!
I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth. Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. Psalm 108:3-6
Are you praying every week that your beloved husband or wife will attend a church service? Do you pray that the Holy Spirit will speak the exact message that your beloved husband or wife as a prodigal needs to hear? We all need to pray every week and especially on the weekends. A pastor may change his sermon if the Holy Spirit speaks to their heart to say the words that your beloved spouse or other prodigal husbands, wives and prodigal children need to hear at that very moment. Never doubt the power of God, when you are praying!
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
We are going to bless you with a few testimonies today about husbands or wives going to church with you!
"Lord, send my beloved spouse to a church that preaches the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and may You open their ears, eyes and heart to hear, see and receive God's message and His Truths to set them free from the bondages of the sinful lifestyle they are living in right now. Lord, they are so deceived and blinded to believing that this is God’s will for them. Lord, reveal Your divine Truth that will set them free now in the Name of Jesus. Amen."
"...'I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'" Acts 26:17-18
“Praise God! My husband is going to church for the first time in many years. He also spent the week with us and helped me and our kids through the loss of my mother that week. He lives many hundreds of miles away and we went to see him and my son last weekend. I was questioning why I had gotten my hopes up, but then for the first time ever I saw a Covenant Transport truck, the only one for 700 miles both ways! I just know it was God and my mom telling me to hang on...he is coming home!†(Ohio)
God's way is the only way for you and your marriage. Your marriage may have been rocky from the start, but God wants to resurrect your dead, hopeless marriage into a healthy, strong marriage with God at the center of both of your lives. Will you pray and believe?
I pray that you are walking in faith and victory today, regardless of what you are seeing right now in the physical realm. I pray that you are praising your Lord daily for the victories that He is doing on the other side of your mountain of circumstances. Will you walk in faith, trusting the Lord for everything?
I challenge you today that you will choose to stand in the gap for your beloved husband or wife and for all other spouses who have fallen into Satan's trap of temptation, deception, and blindness forever. Let me reassure you that unless there is repentance there are severe consequences for your spouse and loved ones who believe that there is no God or judgment for the sins that they are scoffing at right now.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6:8
“BUT GOD! My beloved has quit his worldly band and he came to Bible study in our home. God is faithful. My beloved said he would never deal with our church family. Now he plans to return and sit with another backslidden husband from our church who also stopped coming over the past year or so! Hallelujah! He says he will never come home but God is changing that too. The Lord promised he would return to the Kingdom of God first then to our home. I wait in great expectation. Keep standing everyone!†(Florida)
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6
“My husband texted me and said he wanted to go to church with me rather than going to his review. PTL! I know GOD is not sleeping; He hears my cry. I always pray Isaiah 29:24, Proverbs 21:1 and Ezekiel 36:25-27. God is faithful. I believe God is touching him. God can raise a dead body and raise dead marriages. To all standers, keep worshiping and praising God. He is very pleased because worshipping matters to Him. God knows our heart and He will do the rest in His appointed time. To God be the Glory!†(Philippines)
“Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.†Isaiah 29:24
“Praising the Lord. My husband texted me Sunday morning and asked what time we were going to church, because he wanted to attend with us. He met us there after his work and took us to dinner. The Lord is touching his heart. Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ. He is moving mountains.†(California)
“Have faith in God.†Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.†Mark 11:22-25
“This praise report is long overdue, but it is never too late to share how GOD is crumbling my husband’s heart of stone! I felt compelled to share this as I was ready to give up the fight for marriage restoration. I invited my husband to church. I have extended the invitation many times before, but I was turned down. To my surprise, he agreed to attend the service with us on Sunday. The service was exceptional as the pastor was teaching on Hebrews 11, a chapter on ‘Faith in Action.’ I have fallen many times, but God continues to impress upon my heart that the battle is His and not mine to fight. We need to be diligent in our walk and profess positive affirmations about the restoration of our marriage.†(California)
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47
The one prayer that you need to pray daily is for your spouse to "repent." That means to turn away from sin and change one's behavior. True repentance means that your beloved spouse will have a new spirit and a new heart. They will have godly sorrow for what they have done. Can you imagine if every prodigal spouse would repent what would happen to every marriage around the world? May we pray daily for all prodigal husbands, wives and prodigal children to have true repentance in their heart. Nothing is too hard for the Lord to do today!
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call." Acts 2:38-39
