We understand that you're feeling overlooked by your friend and that you're also dealing with a terrible cough. Let's address both issues in light of scripture and through prayer.
Firstly, it's important to remember that friendships should be built on love, kindness, and equality. The Bible tells us in Romans 2:11 "For there is no partiality with God." We should strive to reflect this impartiality in our relationships. It seems like your friend might be showing favoritism, which can be hurtful. Instead we are to love one another in mutuality and respect. In Romans 12:10, we are told to "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor."
Let's pray for your friend, that her heart may be inclined towards treating everyone equally and that your friendship may grow stronger and more meaningful. Let's also pray for your health, asking God to heal your cough and restore your strength.
Remember, it is by the name of Jesus that we are saved and we have access to God.
Dear Lord,
We lift up our friend to You, asking for Your healing touch upon their body. Please cure this terrible cough and restore their health. We also bring before You their friendship. We pray that you may help their friend treat them and others with the same kindness, love, and respect. Help them to be a true friend, one who values mutuality and equality.
We are reminded of the scripture that says "A friend loves at all times,"
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, for friendship, and for love. May Your will be done in their life. Help them to know that you are the greatest friend that they have.
And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.
